I like coding...somewhat, i prefer working on photoshop. I recently had an idea to start up a game based on the bleach series...and right now, so far so good :). I like people so, feel free to msg. :D

[rpg2k3] Introductions.

1. A blank map. Is that done using the show picture event command? And i've seen people use it like they were typing while the introduction was going. Should i just use a fade screen insert picture show screen repeat approach???
2. Events. So basically make it like i'm making the RPG, but alot more events, alot more movement.
Is that started as a common event? Or is it done just using the normal event?
To add to point one, how do you start with it black? is that common events??

Per se I wish to create a beginning. It starts out black. with font, preferably. How would one go about that? Sorry if it seems like im a complete nub to this, but...I am, so yeah.
Second question to introductions...I wish to use the sprites to make a small movie in the introduction...is that done via event? Or is it done using a movie maker, or something to that extent.
Either case sorry if these are amateur questions, but i myself am an amateur and the only way to go to a intermediate level, is to ask questions :). Thanks for the upcoming answers.

Hm. This game doesn't sound like much of a Zelda type game, just from the storyline.
ALMOST sounds like a final fantasy (9 in particular, cept garnet they find out is with you).
I'm not sure what to say, besides make your custom character more or less a guy out for vengeance against something. It usually works.

Nah, it didnt change anything.
It seems like it wants to revert to the first page after i use the key. Is there anything i can do with that knowledge?

Yeah, been awhile since i posted help, or anything for that matter, how you all doing?
Anyways, onto my main subject. i set up a door via event. First page just says its locked.
Second page points out that if you have a key and use it, it unlocks the door, then removes the door.
third page is supposed to teleport you.
The second page, says would you like to use your key. You say yes, it takes your key, and unlocks the door, and verifies it by removing the door image. But when you close dialogue, the door is still there.
I was wondering what could be the cause of this?
