Let's throw out our brains and forget the fact that the man attended school in the United States, which you can't do unless you have a BIRTH CERTIFICATE. He graduated from Columbia U and had a slew of jobs before he attended Harvard Law School and became the first black president of the Harvard Law Review...which was national news at the time to people that read. He graduated magna cum laude and did a shitload of good work before ever entering politics. To people that like to breathe paint fumes and have never stepped foot in any institution of higher learning, he somehow did ALL of that without being a U.S. citizen. Ha.
So about this Wikileaks thing...What do you think?

Why believe in a falseness? What if there was a truth? This is the goal of WikiLeaks. Support it.

So wikileaks is the only trustworthy place to get information...because the media and wikileaks, itself, says so...right? Geezus.
This...is the failure that I was talking about earlier. The planet really is doomed. People sit around and *wait* for others to tell them what to know and what to be concerned about, instead of seeking the information themselves and trying to be educated. I thought Lemmings was a game for kids but I guess I was wrong...

It's not a big deal. The vast majority of people aren't smart enough to do anything with the information that was leaked, so there's really no point.
Thing is; I'm not worried about national security; I think that 'risk' is being overblown by certain worried politicians who are afraid of their secrets being put out into the air. Honestly like it's been stated, if the USA is held to a higher level of accountability I'm all for it.
The thing is...what people seem to be most shocked about is the two-facedness of politicians and the fact that humans hide their true feelings. That's not news, that's common sense.
Leaking information isn't new and has been going on for centuries. Hell, everything else not related to personality and duplicitiousness that was released on Wikileaks was already known YEARS ago, to people who actually read newspapers. The site didn't make anything public that people who *read* didn't already know(besides the personality issues.) The only thing Assange did was bring it into the forefront; making it popular, so to speak.
People need an antihero and that's what Assange is, right now...but everything he's done has been done before and the world didn't crack in half because of it. If anything, the only thing that will change now is that the "governments" will get even more secretive than before.
People don't care about the leaks...they just want to see someone or something brought down and smashed to bits. It's not going to happen.
