Uh? Do you guys listen to music?
I grew up on rap and r&b(typical black dude) but since rap is complete garbage today I mostly listen to rock. Honestly, a little bit of everything. If it has raw emotion and soul, I'll like it.

I also dont mind if most of the anime I watch seldom has black guys e.t.c since its not like japan is off the coast of Africa
I don't mind that either since it's japanese culture...but it reminds me of how cultures have artistic stories to offer such as Naruto that heavily involves japanese history and culture in such a way that it's interesting to youth...and my own ancestors' culture was pretty much wiped out. We have nothing artistic to teach our kids about our country of origin or history...but I digress.
I hope to create something one day that shows african culture in a way akin to Naruto...that is, if these negotiations for animating Forgotten Majesty don't pan out, lol.
What makes you laugh?
Americanization
author=treeghostauthor=InfectionFilesFits perfectly.
The North American ice skaters look like whores.
Exactly. American kids don't like cute. They like sexy. Thank you, parents.
author=Versaliaauthor=HostilefunI JUST noticed that the American version put a black girl and an asian girl (I assume from the slightly different skin tone and the black hair) in there. Talk about reverse racism - we're so terrified of offending someone that every depiction of more than one person has to be a rainbow.
even skin color?! There has to be a limit to this policatically correctness.
Of course, Japan seems to wish they were caucasian and does not give two shits about making every anime character as white as possible
I don't see it as racism.
Japanese products are catered to japanese audiences. The majority of japanese people are used to seeing cartoon characters with rainbow colored hair so of course this artwork would be normal to them. As far as everyone being white...I thought this was pretty much common knowledge now but anime characters aren't white...they're japanese. Since most anime characters have the exact same face, how would you tell the characters apart if everyone had black/dark brown hair (like the japanese people)? Hence, the weird hair colors.
Games are catered to whoever they are marketing to. If you're going to bring a game to America then of course, you might want to make the characters on the box look like americans if you want your game to sell. That has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with the true evil of the world: profit.

If anyone knows a good web designer, let me know.
I actually do know of one. Haven't spoken to him in ages but I'll get his contact info, if you are interested.
As far as the original post goes...very admirable. Unfortunately, it's much easier to give in to the vices of ones personality on the internet and immediately attack anything that not like you and don't conform to your own standards. People can't help themselves...they just *have* to make their opinions known regardless of who it destroys or insults. That's just one of the reasons why I limit my internet time.
Anyway, good luck...I haven't been here all the time but I had fun.
Has anyone here played "Catherine", yet? *spoilers*

Since it is only out in Japan and has yet to have an American release date (with Atlus saying it won't ever come to western shores {yet then teasing us that it will,
}) I doubt you will have much discussion here.
I miss the old days when these types of things didn't matter much. Makers/players were quite resourceful, then.
*old man mode* Back in my day...blah blah.
