Baldur's Gate 3 lets you frick a bear... no, I'm not making this up. How is this allowed?

Bears are people too.
Literally, I mean. It's a term for a certain type of person. That's surely what you meant, right?

Beating it up, right?
Right?
No. Actual, full frontal sexual intercourse between a human and a bear. The Baldur's Gate TikTok account got permabanned for showing the first half of the scene, but it's still available on Twitch. (censored because of the full thing being not safe for stream)

No, I'm not referring to a "bear", as in a slang term for a very hairy muscular gay male. I'm referring to an actual bear, as in, the animal. Yes, I'm serious. This is real.

First of all, the harkness test is bs. If it's an animal, it's bestiality, regardless if the animal is intelligent and mature or not. It's the same thing with lolis. I don't care if she's a 10,000 year old vampire dragon, if she looks like a child she is a child in my mind. Even if it's a "adult in a child's body" like Purah from BotW, it's still illegal pedo crap since you're attracted to a child's body even if the mind is that of an adult.
I got the distinct impression that the responses from Vaccaria, Strak, and Antilurker77 were all jokes. Or, at least not to be taken seriously.
As for the topic, itself, I dunno if the account was purposefully hacked, or if somebody actually thought it was a good idea to share that tidbit. Maybe it was just to make news, because it calls attention to the game, and gets people to talk about it, or make memes about it, or whatever. Or, to put it another way, it's generating buzz/interest in a product where interest wouldn't normally be found. Doesn't matter if it was on purpose, or by mistake, or even what form the interest takes. Repulsion or attraction, the result of having more eyes on them is the same.

fuck
I changed my mind. I only say it now when I'm really angry.
You need to consider how the character was designed. When artists design female characters for relationship and more, they give them human breasts: 2 breasts located on the rib cage. Imagine how attractive a cat girl would be if she has cat anatomy: 8 nipples located on the belly.

The character you can frick in BG3 is a hairy druid who turns into a realistic bear. Not a bear-tribe beastkin, as in a human with some minor bear like traits, a full on bear. The option to frick the bear is in an obscure dialogue tree option that's almost impossible to stumble onto accidentally, but the fact it exists is disgusting. And the reasons beastkin humanoids in games and anime don't have the full anatomy of the animals their based on is because them having those traits would be weird, fetishy, and a massive turn off for 99% of people. Like, imagine if every catgirl in anime had like 8 titties. Unless you have a multiboob fetish, that's just disgusting. Not to mention the catboys with pps that look like this... (SFW image don't worry.
We reach the same conclusion: characters need to keep human sexual traits to appeal to humans.
Professional game developers wants to increase their revenues by using edgy content to build buzz... or because they think some bears will buy the game.

Of what I've seen it's worked out for them extremely well. Baldur's Gate 3's full release is selling incredibly well and getting extremely high praise in spite of all it's edgy/perverse content. Appealing to the furry degens who are into bestiality (not all furries are degens fyi, I'm only talking about specific ones) only helped matters and the casual audience either didn't care since the bear sex is optional and hard to access or didn't even know about it since they didn't follow the news surrounding the game.
