Exciting! I was worried this had been abandoned after such a long period of silence. 3D games are an iffy prospect for my pathetic 2GB RAM (and probably outdated graphics card) computer, but I'll be looking forward to it nonetheless!
I don't know much about computer specs, but we are making everything pretty easy to render/low-poly. Hopefully it'll run just fine.
I plan on posting more up on our Tumblr latenightstudo.co after I get the basic poses/animations down for Alaria as well.
I'm not much on keeping updated on forums, but Tumblr I can spam pretty easily.

It's been four months since the last update. On behalf of us watching for the expanded edition, I was wondering if we could hear some sort of progress report? Like if the game is on an indefinite hiatus? I'm sure we would all appreciate it.
Like the last news post here states: I've been posting updates on our Tumblr instead.
I like blogging, but not spamming this place too much, although it'd probably help with views and things...
either way... just haven't felt comfortable with it. Once we have more visuals I hope to post some screens and things.

So do you get better loot and exp for playing on harder difficulty levels?

I loved this! i really wish it wasn't so short, any plans on a second part? the battle system is pretty damn good for using it again.
We're working on it. I can say the battle system is getting a big upgrade, and we're adding another character while continuing the story and touching up old stuff.

I gotta be honest with you, once I downloaded this game and played it, I love it.. the battle system was really decent, and the enemies are slightly tough than I thought it would be and unexpected would finish in 2-3 hours so I was bit disappointed :_: hoping it will continue more storyline into it and perhaps 30-40 hours gameplay? XD this is the first and the best rpg game I ever played so far, LOVE IT.
We're still working on it. I'm working on a new character's facesets as I type this! 8D; BurningTyger's right though, the pilot saves won't be usable. There's a lot of changes coming up.

On the world map, there seems to be a beanstalk leading up to some floating islands. Is there any way to unlock that area?
It was an intended dungeon, but we ran out of time. Not completely sure if we'll make it an unlockable place in the future or not.

no reason to use a shield with the halberd giving 50 def and the lance giving grd
Armor/Weapons are a matter of preference. It's whatever stats you want to play with and how many slots you want for synthesis. With one item you'd be limited to that many slots for synthesis, with two items you'd have double the space.
