Usagi Review
Thanks, for the kind review Ruesiken!:)
That's a interesting interpretation, although I didn't intend Usagi to be a sequel to Yume Nikki but rather my own story with my own characters based on the same concept (much like .flow).
Of course that doesn't make your interpretation any less valid than what I thought of, I find it very interesting to read about what different people see in my game.
Thanks, that was exactly what I tried to accomplish.^^
I see what you mean. I'll definitely keep that in mind should I make a similarly abstract game in the future.
Sadly, Usagi will not be expanded upon. I'm working on a new game which has nothing to do with Yume Nikki, though.
Again, thanks for the review and the recommendations!
People like you and Solarlune make this whole game designing thing even more rewarding!:)

I find Usagi very appealing alongside Yume Nikki and .flow because it doesn't tell you the story outright, but instead you have to piece together the plot like a detective
Thanks, that was exactly what I tried to accomplish.^^
I would only ask for more pieces (abstract art or strange tableaus like the drowned girl) to put together, even if all the pieces didn't add up, we would be able to put together some form of a picture which is what makes an art game so subjectively powerful.

I can't unlock the good ending either and I'm out of ideas'' could you give some instructions, please? Anyway, great game! The "story" is very intriguing~
I send you a PM with instructions on how to get the good ending. Glad that you like the story.;)

Immersion vs. Game Mechanics
I think it kind of depends on what game you are making. If you make a marioesque Jump n' Run, I'd say gameplay is more important.
In a horror game, though (for example) the immersion is absolutely crucial to the experience. Silent Hill 2 had shitty combat and (mostly) shitty puzzles but it's still a great game because it manages to suck you in with it's atmosphere and effed up characters.
Ideally, of course, you manage to balance the two concepts so that the gameplay supports immersion and the atmosphere and "feel" of the game doesn't get in the way of the fun. Half Life did a good job with that in my opinion, it's very fun to play but still manages to tell an engaging story without having to interrupt the gameplay with overly long cutscenes.
But yeah, overall I'm leaning more towards immersion than gameplay as well, although I'm not sure that's a good thing.^^ I always come up with story, characters and overall mood of a game first and then try to shoehorn in a gameplay mechanic that hopefully fits these things.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I'm playing Touhou 13 - Ten Desires. It's noticeably easier than the last two Touhou games (but by no means the easiest) but I have yet to beat it without Continues. Touhou is great.
Sounds intriguing. Is it comparable to Minecraft? What's the game about?

Broken Bottles
Hey, I got your game from the fangame wiki and it's very good! I was surprised how much the overall quality has improved since the last version. I'm usually not a fan of fangames that include dialogue since I think it ruins the mystery a bit, but you somehow managed to make the dialogue sparse and cryptic enough that it actually adds to the dreamlike atmosphere. I also love the whole poison motif and the visuals and music are much better than I could ever pull off.^^
Maybe I'll write a review once the game's finished.
Looking forward to see more from Broken Bottles!

Cool, I'm looking forward to that. Yeah, the maze is a bit annoying. It was much worse originally though.^^
