Chin up, it's as always critique first. It does look better, so neat!

I really like the look of the cathedral-esque building, I just wonder - the game's symbol above the door seems to pop out a lot due to the strong shadow and the high saturation (should be it?).
Is it attached to the walls or midair?


It is supposed to pop out a bit, but not like floating in midair or something. You think I should make the shadow more precise and closer to the Symbol itself?

It's a railing fence, posters wouldn't stick properly, they'd end up ripped in half by the wind or wrapped around one of the railings.

Also in the first shot, what is that on the left in the second alcove between the columns? Is it supposed to be a set of stairs, because the angle of ascent is excessively high if so.

Yes, those are stairs and it depends on the thickness of the posters... Is it such a pain in the eye? Oh I now see that there are no shadows for the posters anyway. >_<

1st screenie-The stone sign looks strange and weird in ratio. Other than that, great screenshot with wonderful light effects.
2nd screenie-It's not very clear what that is. Oh and I don't think it's possible to have posters on fence like that :P


Always such a critic! :P Of course you can attach the posters somehow to that fence. Simple Work!

Thank you for the review Marrend. I guess you'll have to wait for the second act to see how the horror aspect of the game will evolve. There is a reason for almost no horror until you actually reach the house. This is the first act after all. :)

Purpose of the first act:

In Act I the conflict of the story is discovered. In this act, the exposition, the introduction of the protagonist, and other characters that the protagonist meets take place, as well as the dramatic premise and inciting incident (the incident that sets the events of the story in motion) occurs approximately halfway through the first act.


There are reasons for us why we wouldn't let the main character run inside the house, as well as why one riddle is timed. There is a lot of information inside this game, but some will only make sense later in the game.

We've gotten some interesting feedback over all so far and can say that the difficulty or the riddles as well as the chasing sequences etc. are pretty balanced. Most people enjoyed the story as well as the characters and keep on wondering what is coming next.

Most players so far have been able to outrun the rake at the end within the second or third try. Balancing these challenges and riddle is not easy, but we've been working on that constantly. :)


The horror aspects of the game will ramp up a lot with each act. Thanks again for playing. :=)

Actually Soli made one in that game as well, which given his role here is hysterical.

I finished Iddalai's and cast Perseverance during a battle without an issue, no error messages. Is there more than one 2K rtp?

Ok, so that was short and cute and I liked the MS rewards, and the sprites were great, but I really wanted to make a donations. I got my 10 MS and everything, why couldn't I go down the stairs?

You can only go down the ones on the right. :/ It didn't work? Aw man... Not sure what the issue might be. Worked everytime I used it. Maybe because I am using a parallax background from the rtp after that? No the game would just crash then if a files missing...

At the start of the parallel process, perhaps have a small event that turns the NPC invisible and teleports it to the starting point? That way, as soon as the switch is turned on, it starts over again. Might work.

Wow. Thanks Liberty. Since the Npc is patrolling that is a very good idea for a fix. Will try it right after I am back from work.

[RMVX ACE] Event stops moving?

Hi guys. I have encountered a bug that I can't seem to fix. At least not in the way I want it to be fixed.

There is an event "NPCWalk" (parallel processing) that controls a NPC. Both start once you activate them with a switch. The NPC will become visible and the "NPC Walk" loops a set move route for the NPC. If you turn the switch, go back to a savepoint, exit the game and load the sequence the NPC will be visible, but stop moving. This broke someones playthrough because the NPC stopped moving at an important spot. >__<

I guess this means that as soon as the game reloads the NPC will start the movement on the last saved spot... Is there any way to.. fix this? If i give the NPC itself the movement, it will stop moving once it is out of sight, which is horrible... I could give the player the chance to only use the savepoint once, but... I dunno. That is just a trick to fix this.
