Hi guys! I am Manifesto! I am Korean born in Argentina (Its in South America for you geography noobs) and I enjoy RPGs. I started playing RPGs when I was 7 and just got hooked since my first game (which was Robotrek) I began my RM adventures very recently in 2007 with RM2K3. Since then, I have been tinkering with the program and now I am creating my very first serious RPG. I am fairly new to RMN and I don't think I am well known here, but It'll change, I hope.

I Hate These Internet Forums...
Oldschool RPGs aka the blinding lights of nostalgia
Well I think the community that doesn't know the RM series will go like "WOW! THIS LOOKS JUST LIKE FF__"
and get into nostalgia but since we already know what the rtp looks like we won't get that feeling (except Hero's Realm, which used small chibi charsets.)
In my opinion, any game that keeps it 8-bit can be called "old school" but the problem is that if a game is using 16-bit graphics, it can't be as nostalgic because, well, the community has been using those graphics for a long time.
(Heck, there are actually a bunch of 8bit games now. Time to start an Atari styled rpg > :D )

Your First Game
Alright, I know most of you, if not, all of you, have a first game. What was it like? What was it about? Anything Interesting about it?
For me, I remember making a game called Crystal Legends before my main project right now. It was about one teenager and his dog and a fairy traveling the world to stop a villain, which was the teenager's best friend(?!). The main character had the Alex charset and the maps were horrid.
Anyways, tell me about your first game! Heck, if you still have it, why not upload it and give us a download link?

Got a new computer and cannot use rm2k3!
uhh just right click the shortcut (or exe, i forget) and click on the compatibility tab and check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for : Windows XP" and hurray! You fixed the problem!
