Memories of Elefee
So I just spent almost a whole three hours of this game, and I am really hooked to it! I just encountered the supposed true identity of the vampire and have had a lot of fun up to this point. I've had a notebook of some small, hasty notes I wrote down as I played, so hopefully you'll find these useful.
One of the first things I wrote about was the spelling, heh. I know you mentioned the spelling and grammar issues yourself as being featured in the game, but I did definitely find them distracting as I played, specifically the improper use of "You're" seen countless times throughout as well as letters being capitalized after commas. I'm sure you're fully aware of these issues, though.
Character designs and the portraits are really nice, one of the first things that drew me into this game. The game as a whole look awesome really. :)
I'm not sure why this occurs exactly, but if you attempt to bring up the menu upon encountering Seyi at the front castle grounds, I get an error saying the following;
"Unable to find file:
Graphics/Pictures/Seyi_Town-1"
I ended up losing my progress due to this, unfortunately, but I'm hoping it's a quick fix. Afterwards, when you gain control in the ballroom scene for the dance, the error no longer seems to occur and I can bring up the menu just fine.
I love the custom battler sprites. I saw you could do them for the Carpenter and vampire as well, but hopefully in a later update you can do the generic enemies as well, as they look very out of place when by the custom sprites.
Speaking of the Carpenter, I felt even by doing that task with the fish for 500, the amount you need for the bridge seems a bit much, that or enemies don't drop enough. I ended up spending around 45 minutes at that point just grinding for jelly until I had enough, seemed a bit too much, but that could just be me.
Being blinded sucks so bad, haha. It practically shuts the viability of a character completely down. No way to manually heal that either. I like a good challenge, though, so I'm not complaining.
Another glitch, although it doesn't seem to affect gameplay or story progression. After fighting the three bats summoned from the vampire at the front of the mayors house, if you leave the town and re-enter, the area will no longer be dark and the music changes to the map default, completely killing the urgency of the tone, haha. Seems to only be a cosmetic glitch, but just something I thought I'd point out.
Haven't gotten to defeating the vampire yet (does the demo end after that?), but overall I've really enjoyed what I have played thus far, and cannot wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds!~ Well done.
