I tried to do something a different with the battle system, So it doesn't get boring and repetitive. I understand what you mean about the spirit energy/life energy thing, but spirit energy plays a part in the story. Now I can't say that I have perfected everything about the battle system, but I thought having the skills take Hp would be a nice change of pace. As compared to other games.
