Death of child too much for a game? How dark/mature can I go?

Go for it man.
While im not into M rated games, I do believe in Self-Censorship.
So, if your fine with making a game like that, do it then.
You have a right to make games how you want.

But, you should put a warning in your game, just to caution people.

How did you get started in RM ?

So, a couple of years ago, I found an English Version of RM2k on some website.
I downloaded it, and to my surprise, it was one of the most intuitive game making programs ever imo.
I made my first game on it.
Some crappy game with ripped resources and mismatched music, BUT it was a start.

Awhile later, when RMXP came out, I downloaded it after hearing it's mode 7 like capability's (via scripting).
While it had a higher learning curve, it offered more options for game design.

RM Game as single exe

Only usefull if you dont want players ripping your resources.
Of course, you could always find a way to watermark the tilesets and chipsets...

Speaking of making a demo

I would say a well designed demo gives the player about an hour of gameplay.
It doesnt HAVE to be limited options wise, but it can if you havent finished everything.

When does Design overtake Fun?

If you spend a couple of days designing your game well.
And then you actually make it on RM, its going to cut the production time of the game down, as opposed to designing everything "on the fly".

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

Adon, I clearly said Files, not flies.

Im working on a 3d platformer for Rpg Maker XP.
I don't... I don't think you are.

And how would you presume this when you cant see the files on
my computer ?

Real Time Narration in Video Games

So, ever since the show "24" ended, I have always thought it would be a cool concept to have a video game in complete Real Time (not a RTS game).

So awhile later, I thought of this game concept called "One Day" where the main character has only 24 hours to find clues to someone trying to bomb a major city.

But, not to talk about my game, it would be cool if more action-adventure games followed a Real-Time style of Narration.

Has anyone tried to do this in a RM game ?

'Postmodern' RM Games

Yeah, Postmodernism is a cool concept for Video Games.

Finished Games 2012

author=Nightowl
Well, the 2012 theory is just plain bullshit made by some devout Christian who thinks that because some jungle tribe made calendars only until 2012, the world would end during 2012.
But I assume that you don't even believe in that crap either so..

Eh. I might want to finish few RPGs, Earthbound especially. I have finished Earthbound Zero ages ago though so no need for that. Probably I should finish Dead Rising 2: Off the Record again.

Nah, most 99% of Christians I know dont believe in 2012/end of the world theory.
