i hate the story for this, human greed and cruelty towards others
something that's painfully obvious in real life
and that i don't need to see more of
but now after playing t i disagree with the review on things not being explained
to the point where i question of he even played the game
or payed attention at the very least
its a simple plot nothing complex
anything you don't know you don't need too

the mapping,artwork and game triggers were really good

i am not fond of the said battle system in which there is only 2 fights in the game
the 1st battle aside the final battle is luck based and i could not win because of this...
worse with you starting at a huge disadvantage

The story in this game is some lifted from my personal experience, it may be said as an outlet for my feelings in the real world.

I will fix anything about issue/bug in remaster version.

Also .. she isn't? Did I really completely miss this? My apologies, I must have interpreted into the familiarity these two share (they seem to know each other rather well by the dialogue) and the fact that she offers her to join her side so willingly without giving any reasons why she should do so (and trust her to be potentially faithful).


They both used to be a team in the organization lisa, but for some reason eris leave the organization. If it takes a lot described as limit games only 1 hour, so a lot of cutting their origin :)

And I see, that magic bit makes sense, but definitely needs to be explained somewhere earlier.
I look forward to your improvements! Although it would perhaps be helpful to get someone else aboard to help with your overall grammar. It would make it much easier, at least.


I'll explain in a remastered version :)
development hopefully satisfying, well I do have constraints on grammar, I hope there will be a story that helps translate the DoH series :)

It's a 30 minutes+ long prequel for the game "Darkness of Hope" which takes place five years later and is not available yet.
Ehehe, i shouldn't make description about prequel my game orz.

The premise is very interesting - the first and only cutscene in this game makes you hungry for more. It describes why a whole clan fell into disgrace by the hands of a single prince. Cheesy, yes, but a great start nevertheless.

This uberhappy atmosphere is then broken by invading bad guys, killing your parents and forcing you to escape with your sister (and now guardian) Eris, while battling your other sister Lisa (she is part of the dark side .. of .. well, she's one of the bad guys). Your clan uses magic and is a possible threat, that at least makes sense.
You might expect some running to be done, but you won't encounter any. You'll find yourself in a maze and have all the time in the world to escape and be attacked again then. Alright.
Lisa isn't Eris sister XD,
if i make some encounter enemy, i haven't much time for make resource XD, i will extend content in remaster version :)

Never mind orthography, there were lots and lots of grammatical errors everywhere. I realize English is not the creator's native language, so I just keep up with it. But additionally, the "~" was quite overused.

If you could teleport to safety, why in the world did you not do that right from the start?
Why does this village treat them kindly? Why do others not treat them as kindly? How do you even recognize that you are dealing with people with magical powers? Why are the bad guys after them now? They apparantly lived quietly and peacefully for quite a while.
Yeah that ability is controversial, I should explain in more detail the use of teleport. Ability to teleport many user draining and have a greater chance of failure. If the user fails to lose his magical abilities and could possibly die from exhaustion, this magic including magic forbidden in the rules of this series.

Nice title post XD

I should note that the player is not allowed to save at will. This is perplexing as there doesn't seem to be any reason for it other than some arbitrary developer choice. It makes the puzzle thing too overbearing since it is not possible to take a break.


ehehe, my problem is script switching character has some bug, if you save game in puzzle and load game, the game will be error especially in inventory character.

-Unfortunately, I must install a font first, and the README file provided is not in any sort of text format.


i don't know, why rpgmaker vxace cannot read folder font in this project, :(
im sorry about forced install font in begining :(

I check the GAME PAGE and notice that the DEV has given a HINT that I should check the opened treasure chest again for more items. This is in definite violation of player trust...that's not a clever trick so much as mean prank. Having to interact with things repeatedly is bad enough, but when the thing has told you that it's interaction is finished (open chest graphic), it feels even worse.

-True to form, I need to use the CART again. There's a SPARKLE to indicate where the item is, but it is for some reason not visible within the game.


In my testing sparkle item is visible :hmm:

-The ULTIMATE ATTACK isn't quite as ULTIMATE as just spamming STRIKE. Not sure why I would want to save up for it, really.

-Defending LISA's ULTIMATE gives full BREAK points though...doesn't make the system work, but it does provide a one-time situation where it's wise to use ERIS' ULTIMATE.


every player has their style battle, well we will fix the battle system in next project :)

The FINALE actually plays its emotional content pretty well at first. The DEAD PARENT REVEAL is done very well, though the effect is diminished when the battle starts and ERIS says 'Go home LISA, you're drunk.'

LATER, I have to input A LOT of characters like the earlier password sequence. I was so FLABBERGASTED by the number of characters that I didn't even look at the time given to do it. I think the end effect there is good, probably.

-More STUFF happens. The STORY wraps up more or less neatly but with plenty of room for a SEQUEL. This is expected since this is a PREQUEL game. At any rate, it's OVER. Outside of the SHAMELESSLY UNFAIR puzzle parts, it was actually a pretty cool game. Unfortunately, the majority of the time I spent on it was being stumped by POOR DESIGN CHOICES. Too bad...I really did like that combat system...

So .. at very beginning, in the first dungeon. There are 4 statues and I've got 4 items, but I can only give 2 to the succubus and the dragon, not to the other ones.
Thus I am stuck and there really isn't anything left I can do.
I couldn't save until now, either.

The drawings during the cutscenes are awesome, but the writing is really lacking. I realize English is not your native language, but it really harms the experience quite a bit. "~" is overused, to say the least.

aphrodisiac mushroom must be for the tentacle-thing, makeup for the ogre? For whatever reason that may be

hints, Checilia can pick 3 items in treasure chest~

I'm sorry about grammar, I'll fix it in the release of the darkness of hope main series, and will be one bundle games.
