I understand you not info giving.

A puzzle that isn't puzzling is rather pointless.

What to do if your Game Submission is denied/pending

Are short descriptions okay for battle-less adventure games? I figured the more I blathered about it the less exciting gameplay would be.

Help please? Platformer RPG (need character sprites)

Er, rpgmaker xp. Problem?

Looking for Artist / Partner in Game Creation

I'm a little busy as of now, but I can aid in future creations.

I can do all but programming and music.

Help please? Platformer RPG (need character sprites)

Uh, I'd like to offer concept art but I have a lot on my plate. If you could knock off one of the things on my to-do list I could draw you some concepts?

(List: make window skins, design puzzle rooms, rearrange sprite set to fit, find/make a sad music box melody and various sound effects, eat a sammich, figure out a way to display health in the top left corner of screen, etc)

I draw for you, you script for me?

Art samples can be found in the screenshots of my game, Profundum. Contact me for more.

I need a very simplistic scene menu and a health counter of around 5-10 hits, but grog not good with code. For this, I can do facesets with various expressions, title/gameover screens, concept art, etc, (though heads are my specialty).

You could also compare Chess and Monopoly on the basis that they both have instruction manuals, use dice and work on a game board.

I've never played Chess with dice... it does sounds fun though.

Silent hero or non silent hero?

author=Crystalgate
I think that depends more on the player than the game. I don't feel more immersed in games with silent protagonists and I've never felt that I'm the main character. From what I've seen in other message boards, I'm far from alone in that (I may or may not be in the majority here.) If you and your friend can feel that way, it's great, but you can not count on that working for other players, no matter how you design the game.

I'm not saying you can't design your game that way, but I think that whether or not it's a good idea depends on what audience you have in mind and not on if you game has certain other features (such as the mentioned side characters with whom the player may develop a crush."

Good point.
I think silent hero's were the right way to go for games like Ib and Yume Nikki, and virtually all platformers. But with RPGs I also prefer speaking characters. I suppose one should consider both the game and audience before choosing. (late post is late, sorry)
