[RM2K3] Speed after map transition

Set another Move Event with the desired speed after the map transition command. Try that and see if it helps!

My character is walking around with the move event (You know like a cutscene, I decrease the movement of the character but I don't know if it is connected with my later speed) and then I do a map transition event, the speed of my character goes very slow, not like the normal one.
This makes me guess is that the character retains the speed, as defined by the MOVE ROUTE, in this cut-scene. So, unless you specified another MOVE ROUTE later on in that cut-scene (say, during the end), the character should retain the speed it was set to during the cut-scene in question.

...If that makes any sense!



Well, your answers did very well, it actually worked I put a autorun event, and then I did a move event increasing the speed, and then I erase it to keep the speed in that way, and at the end I put a "Proceed with movement" event, to end the event.

*facepalm* God, why I didn't think of that before, I feel dumb.

I'm having trouble about speed after map transition, the thing is when I do a move event (Like a cutscene) and then I do the map transition event, my character goes real slow, it doesn't walk normally, this problem has never happened to me before, so I don't know how to fix this.


You most likely didn't undertand a word of it, or it was a very vague explanation of the problem, so let me do a example so you can understand!

Well, it does look better from before, at least it looks decent, I tried to delete some text, and now looks good!, I'm really sastified with your response, but I have another question:

Can I make the text not skipabble?

Well, this is when I activate the Shake screen event


As well you can see that I turn off a switch which is the one that I activate the Shake screen event and the turn on another switch which is the map transition.



You can see that I tried even with the "End event processing" and "Erase event"
but it doesn't work at all, it keeps shaking

I have a little issue about the shake screen, the problem is when I activate the shake screen, everything is just going alright, but when I do a transition to another map, it keeps shaking till the time I set it to end.

[RM2K3] Cutscenes

Hi everybody!
I'm having troubles making a cutscene for Rpg Maker 2003, the reason why I am having so much trouble is that when I do a move event, the textbox shows BEFORE when I want to, the move event needs to finish and then show the textbox (or text)if you didn't understand a word of this, then I will show you an example, let's say "Our Hero" walks towards a tree and then say "What a beautiful tree" and that's it.

My problem is when "Our Hero" BEFORE he walks towards the tree, it shows the text "What a beautiful tree" (sorry if that wasn't really understandable, english is not my native language.)


Any help, please?
