Fuck It Review
You just have to evaluate what you know about making games.
We all love playing games but just having played games all our lives doesn't mean we will produce something good ourselves. You have to really study the art. Understand every aspect of what's in a game and what it is about other games that make it good.
You have to be a writer. You have to make dialogue feel real, make the characters have personalities and keep things consistent.
You have to have a good eye for design and high attention for detail.
You have to be creative, which is hard because so many things have been done already. Plus creativity is not an easy thing to learn. You have to have something unique to stand out among the waves of amateur games if you expect everyone to find it appealing.
Just because a few people don't like it doesn't mean everyone will feel the same way. Just look at the current featured game. Most people on here will be looking at games like a critic. They compare your game to a high standard of professionalism. Very few games actually meet these standards so I wouldn't feel too bad.
You also have to have a passion to want to improve yourself. If your going to give up then perhaps that's what you were missing all along...

Phalath Review
The pictures don't add anything. Especially the ones where you show gameplay. In the one where you complain about the collision the monster is in the adjacent square to the hero, what's the problem?. Besides, if there is a problem with hit detection who's fault is that? Obviously the creator of this game.
This isn't a great review though. It's like a Corfaisus review with lamer jokes. You don't suggest what should have been done and you pick small mistakes or typos in order to setup your "jokes".
When you describe the story, typing it out would have THE SAME EXACT effect as showing screens of it. It's a black screen with words and this would be a white screen with words. Also, the story says "they joined with goblins" and you say "wait, so now they are goblins". Your deduction skills are unmatched, good sir
Fuzzy Muffin? ....such a legitimate complaint too. Makes sense that the first weapon would be small.
You bash him for a nonsensical sentence:
And follow it up with this gem:
You guessed it right. Nobody gets your jokes.
*so uh, be more informative. it's a review, not stand-up comedy. also just put images in hide tags

I had a complaint about the sword before I even used it, and it was the fact the Fuzzy Muffin had the length of 1.5 cms

...... There's so much wrong with this one text box that I'm not even going to list the 200 plus things wrong with it and let you guys figure it out for yourselves.
And follow it up with this gem:
To me the GAMEPLAY is like the Statue of liberty. We need a hand to hold that torch, even though in this case the story was the torch and it lit the statue on fire, but will the statue be able to handle it?
Must be a dimensional bump, get it? No? Screw you! That joke was funny.

The Legend of Gladius Review
It gives a pretty general idea of what the game experience will be like. It's precise and to the point. The things that are mentioned as being bad are pretty broad, there's no real need to go into much detail. It's up to the developer to figure out how to fix balancing. Now they know it's a big problem so they have more information about the game now, as opposed to not having a review at all. Instead of looking for justification, just trust that the reviewer knows what he/she is talking about and play the game yourself to see what it's like. Chances are people are going to have a differing opinions anyways.
Good review.
Good review.

I'm also a bit surprised that you'd make the assertion that only reviews that give a good score are somehow "successful".
I never made that point.
Fuck It Review
Why does a review always have to go into specific detail on what needs improvement?
It's not the review writer's job to go around fixing games, it's to tell us their opinion of the game. Which is exactly what Carvonica has done. It's nice when a reviewer goes into heavy detail but it shouldn't be expected. If this was posted as a comment on the gamepage then it wouldn't serve as a gauge for the rest of us. Making it a review gives the game some stars and puts it on the map. That's part of the reason the site needs more reviews. Someone finding the gamepage probably won't read through 12 pages of comments to see if anybody else likes it - "oh look, 4 stars. It's probably a good game" - mission accomplished.
It's not surprising that Corfaisus is the first one to comment, trying to make up something wrong with a positive review. It's clear you don't understand the point of a review with comments like that.
It's kind of silly for anyone to even suggest this is a bad review in any way. It lets us know there are many things done right and it's worth playing. That's a successful review.

Chrono Trigger Review
Nobody wants you to be a reviewer. Your not very good at it.
It wasn't discussion that followed your last review, it was just backlash at your crude manner of delivering criticism.

author=Corfaisusauthor=Link_2112Don't worry, I'll review one of your games next. Then you can benefit from my experience. ;)
Another game that doesn't need a review gets one. Great.
Oh, please don't. I won't have anything complete for a long time anyways ;)

The 7 Dragons Review
I felt it would be more effective to review this as I went along to give the creator of this game a better idea of exactly where improvements could be made.
How is this supposed to help the creator? It seems like a long-winded "you suck" instead of a helpful "it's not good, and here's why". It's clear that the aspects of this game are bad but I don't see constructive criticism here. If it's there it's well hidden. If someone isn't great at game making this is the wrong way to "help". A comment on the gamepage was sufficient.
Your score for music seems odd. It wasn't good and wasn't bad, just give it a 2.5. It's RTP so of course nothing sticks out.
But hey! At least people are reviewing stuff..........why didn't you review something that actually needs it instead of an easy target for insults? It's easy to see just by looking at the gamepage that this isn't a gem. It just seems like this review was written for the wrong reason. btw, if you bothered to check out his other games you can see that at least his mapping is better than this.
