Still no reply from Font, and ChaosProductions doesn't want to do it now.
I'm extending it one more day...
I'm extending it one more day...
Diplomacy
Well, you want an extension, Gemini has not been replaced yet (still awaiting a reply from Font), and my jDip has screwed up, so, yes, the turn will be extended until at least 12:00 AM Monday August 3.
Diplomacy
Diplomacy
post=89668No. Days start at 12:00 AM.
Also 12am EST Sunday that's midnight on Sunday-Monday right? and not midnight on Saturday-Sunday? Because I will have pretty limited internet access until Sunday afternoon.
If someone PMs me beforehand, I can always extend a turn if schedules get in the way.

(last extension)
(Note: Sorry for the crummy pictures and everything else; I'm in the middle of upgrading my computer so I'm updating from a different one without any image editors and without a lot of time. If everyone decides we can move the game faster, I'll bump the following turns up to 2 days each. But Fall 1901 will still be 3 days. This turn is MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE LAST TURN, because conflict is sure to happen.)

Diplomacy
The deadline has come.
However, two people have not submitted valid orders, and because it's the first turn, I'm giving a grace period of one hour. After that hour, I will update.
Don't miss the deadline.

Diplomacy
It's now been a little more than a day since the first turn started.
I hope you guys are actually messaging each other, instead of just picking moves at random! (There will still be a little bit of that, as you don't know what strategies to use yet, but you still need to be communicating with the other players!)

Diplomacy
Also, like I said before, the turn will not end before the deadline, period. You can safely resubmit your orders until that time. No need to message me saying "hey disregard that last message".
Diplomacy
Ahh, you're correct. Sorry, it's been a while since I've played. I'll update the above post, and:
- Stp (St Petersburg) has a North and South coast.
- Spa (Spain) has a North and South coast.
- Bul (Bulgaria) has a West and East coast.
However, Denmark is really not confusing. It looks like it's split in two, but treat all of that as one contiguous region. You can also move through it, just like you can move through Constantinople. Both Denmark and Constantinople only have one coast.
hel -> den -> bal works.
nth -> den -> bal works.
hel -> den -> ska works.
ska -> bal DOES NOT work. As you can see, they are not adjacent.
Nice finds.

Diplomacy
No. The general rule is, a unit can only support if it can move into the territory as well. And armies can't move into water territories.
Also, ahem... don't reveal your strategy in the thread. Just because Russia is next to you, doesn't make him automatically your enemy. The goal is to be sneaky and negotiate with everyone.
Everyone be careful. :) You may want to think of it like this: don't focus too much on just taking as much territory as you can. You need to build up alliances, even if temporary, and work yourself into a good position to strike back. Think ahead and try to sow chaos, discreetly.
Also, outright lying is always encouraged... be creative.
