To make a simple sword system just do this.
Make the parralel event for sword slashing by having a
key input proccessing for all buttons.Now have the parralel event
so if the buttons equal:(Whichever the slash button is)Start conditional
branch for the directions link is facing.before the battle animation,turn on
a ''Slashing my sword'' switch.after the animation turn it off.
And for the enemys:page one:Damage the hero.Page two:If ''Slashing my sword'' is on
collision with hero,the monster takes damageby plusing or minusing a vaiable.Once the'' monster's HP'' variable equals:so and so,the monster dissapears.
you can alter this however you feel like.
