WILLYFOUREYES'S PROFILE
I used to be a reviewer for the RPG Maker scene back in the "Don Miguel" years (early 2000s), but I drifted away from it for a while to refine my technique with video games (I still totally suck at multiplayer games, but I've decided to compensate for this glaring weakness by working on my high scoring). I'm back, somewhat, in limited capacity.

Legion Saga
Aww...I was going to mention something about one of the bosses lacking an image file, but it looks like that part's already been covered.
There doesn't seem to be an RTP monster equivalent of "aloof blue-haired hero with hair covering one eye", which may explain why only Regule's battle sprite is blank. I can't seem to find an equivalent in the image files, so will the game still work when you reach that point?

RPG Maker 2000 Value! Is now out in English!

These are generally for the nostalgia. They're outclassed by pretty much all the modern engines existing today. They're for you having fun making a silly RPG, but for higher caliber RPGs intended to be enjoyed by many, there's a lot of modern options that aren't ancient and full of duct tape (it has a ton of patches, hacks, etc.) that generally reduce performance and stability just to get it working on your machine.
I'm running Windows 8.1, and surprisingly I was able to get both RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 running on my machine without much trouble or having to resort to "weird tricks". (As usual, one's mileage may vary.)
RPG Maker 2000 Value! Is now out in English!
Ah, it feels good to start using this again. The interface is a lot cleaner than the version I'm used to.
However, I've noticed right away a few quirks with the database interface...namely here:
http://sylphidcreative.com/images/rpg-maker-2000-curves-wrong-column.jpg
It appears the curve thumbnails show (from left to right, then down) Max MP, Max HP, Defense, Attack, Agility, and Mind, but when you click on a curve to edit it, the order of the tabs is Max HP, Max MP, Attack, Defense, Mind, and Agility. I was confused when I thought I was changing one curve but was actually editing another. Is this easily fixable?

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I've got Torchlight (PC) and Rune Factory Frontier (Wii) eating up most of my gaming time.
I may start playing Visions and Voices (PC-RPG Maker VX) soon, for I've heard some very good things about it.

What corporation are you a slave to?

I work for a certain military academy on the east coast. No, I'm not an instructor there...I just handle data.
West Point?
No, not that one. A little further south.
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I just bought Folklore and Ninja Gaiden Sigma for my PlayStation 3 today after renting them previously. If not them, then probably Big Bang Mini for the Nintendo DS (a bullet-hellish shoot-em-up developed by a French game studio).

How much time do you spend on the computer?
Random Musings or Rants
Honestly...who among you paid money to see a Uwe Boll film? In a theater? On opening weekend? Don't worry, I won't report you.
And now, "She Bangs."

Gredlen's Official Anime and Manga Topic of Fun and General Merriment!
author=Ephiam link=topic=157.msg2251#msg2251 date=1185974358Gah...adding that stupid expository rap theme song drove me away from One Piece (and by extension, any 4Kids-licensed property) for good. If it means anything to any of you, I'm 26, so I probably ought not be watching anything with the words "for kids" in it in the first place. *shrug*
I'm currently watching One Piece. Currently it is my second most liked series out of all those I have seen. Definitly surpasses Naruto and Bleach and anything of the like. However, I have to watch the subs seeing as how there are no good english versions. What 4Kids done to the anime was horrible. They basically ruined the chances of it becomming as popular as...well...say Naruto. They even wanted to get their hands of that anime as well. Great thing they didn't. It's a good thing, though, that FUNimation is now going to dub One Piece. I will finally be able to stop watching subs!.....once I catch up to where they are picking up from -.-
That said, I'm a fan of screwball comedies, so shows like Azumanga Daioh and Excel Saga are a few on my "must watch" list. I'm waiting to see how well ADV Films handles the English release of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann...that looks and sounds like it might be a lot of fun. My Japanese is especially terrible, so if there's a decent English dub (or good enough subtitling), I'll gladly add it to my library.
As always, YMMV.
