... is a LoOnY PiOnEEr (of Super Nintendo World Maps) named Max K.L of the golden state. This awesome dude totally believes games could be more (hoooly!) than giant ~bouncing~ tatas, explosions and muscles. Max wishes to share a world inside the dude's head to those who cared to turn around, and prove to Guy Montag that not all interactive media will become Soldiers of Dumb.

Wilfred the Hero looks fun!

I wanna help someone with his RPG Game

He means you should get to know people before randomly trying to be apart of their development team. The best way you should do that is volunteer to become a beta-tester. As a beta-tester, you often time suggest new concepts and ideas for a game, besides just finding bugs. If a certain person likes the ideas you gave, maybe they would want you apart of his/her/their team to continue giving ideas.

I guess I'll do it. Why not.

Hola

Enjoy! I think its a little pointless trying to start a new forum considering RMN offers everything an RM site really needs. ???

Some advice

  • Reconnaissance missions
  • Maybe being able to "apply" for different jobs which will determine if you are "good" or "bad"
  • Free-roaming

Idk, that's all I can think of. The best thing you could do is have a small demo so people can understand what the game is really like. Right now its kind of a stab in the dark to really suggest you anything.

Your RM Preference

I acknowledge the fact that in terms of customization and whatnot, VX and XP are superior to RM2K3, but I personally like RM2K3 the best mainly due to experience. I don't understand what's is the issue with this "Engine War" going around. To me, it doesn't matter what the tool of trade is, as long as the product it makes in the end is good. So the game can be made in RM95 for all I care, and if its an actual good game (how rarely do we even get those nowadays), then its all good.

Game Design Discussion of the Week: Hey Assholes, Stop Giving Up.

I always had issues with indecisiveness which eventually leads my projects down the drain. I think what my largest issue is being unable to figure out what happens in the middle of a game. I have the opening and the end perfect envisioned, but trying to create what happens in between can be a little bit difficult!

Indie games that have impacted you

Aedemphia: Hands down the best RM2k3 game ever created. But what inspires me is the amount of hard work and dedication put into this title.

Are you serious? The graphics of the game was nice, but it had so many technical bugs in there. Its like he didn't put forth the effort to get a beta-tester for god's sakes. I think I might have expected way too much based off of the screenshots, but I was a little disappointed when I actually played it. Its still well-made, however.

Hmm ... I don't think there were any games that particularly changed my world, though there were some great games made by fellow bored nerds. A brief list:

  • Legend of the Philosopher Stone
  • The Way Series (1--3; the rest ... were less inspiring to say the least)
  • Balmung Cycle Part 1
  • One Thousand Bullets

There are also a few more awesome games that I have yet to play. My main playlist is probably Wilfred The Hero, Sunset of Imadahl and A Blurred Line. All three of them are classics from what I know.

Ephiam: That looks great! Reminds me of good old classical games. Are the graphics original?

Nathrael: That looks good too. The lightning effect isn't too cheesy or difficult to see.

NightCloud: The second one looks a lot better.

Sion: Iguess it looks alright. Is this your new game or just some random experiment?
