BLACKDRAGON84'S PROFILE
Born in the era of the NES I have been a gamer for the past 20 years. and having been on the consumer side of gaming i have always wondered what the development side is like. I have played around with maker titles in the past (rpg maker on psx and fighter maker on ps2) and have been tinkering with rpg maker vx ace on steam for about a month. as far as what kind of rpg i want to make i take HEAVY inspiration from Final Fantasy VI (the best game in the series in my opinion) chrono trigger, breath of fire and other rpg titles of the 90's. I particularly like Final Fantasy VI because of what they did with the limited capabilities of the SNES. to this day i still care more about the 16bit sprite characters in that game then the fully blown 3D rendered characters of current games. I hope that i can learn a thing or two about game development here have fun doing it and make new friends.

Hello my name is...
Not inigo montoya. it's Blackdragon and I am new to this community. As my profile says i have been a gamer for the past 20 years and have always wanted to try to be the person who creates the next great game. In a age where a lot of AAA games are made at a assembly line rather then each one being hand crafted. i feel like communities like this one are needed to keep the balance a lot of the games i have seen from the maker community remind me of the time long since gone where game developers (namely ones who where the masters of there genres like squire-soft) cared enough about the fans of there games that they painstakingly added life to there games. enough so that some of the best games of the time felt more like personal journey's then simple video games. I hope to one day recreate that feeling and show the world the kind of magic that video games (RPG's in particular) held in there small limited world.
