That actually sounds a little better than 12. I've been thinking, and, even though I doubt I'll get a PS3, I'm willing to give FF13 the benefit of the doubt.

Final Fantasy XIII is coming out for the XBOX 360 as well. And who knows? With the developments that have surfaced, I think SE is trying to bring back the Final Fantasy series to greatness.

Won't happen. They've beaten the dead horse for far too long.

So do you think FF should have died a long time ago? I don't, it's a great series, but when I saw FF12's battle system (and this is the only reason), I started to hate SquareEnix for taking away what got me into RPG's in the first place, the classical
battle system. Since FF12, they've (apparently) been making nothing but shit (The Last Remnant battle system was even worse than FF12's, but I've yet to play Infinite Undiscovery)

It is obvious that the battle system in most games is what pulls me in.

It's more along the characters and stories. They don't stand out anymore. I mean, you can only have so many zippers on your clothes and increasing the size of your sword to only so big. :P I really don't think a series should get up to THIRTEEN games. Not counting the mounds of crap they managed to push out that isn't even in the steady flow (Crystal Chronicles, FFVII sequels, etc.) It's.. It's just not exciting anymore to see a new Final Fantasy game. It's kind of like bad sitcoms, they try to think up more things when in reality, all there is, is a group of friends in the big city with the gay guy and the funny black dude, and they all rotate with who's nailing who.
