[RM2K3] smart events!

Instead of checking Hero's X and Y co-ords, have it check the event in questions' X and Y co-ords.

? how do you do that i'm sorry but i really new to rpg maker 2003 code. i sould have stated that earlier. sorry.

ok smart event's what i mean events will see each other.
like guard events that see the player.
i know i can use a type of guard event so the event
has that field of vision but i don't know how to change a
guard event coding so instead of look for the player it's looking for the other event. if you want to know what coding i'm using

[RM2K3] i need help with the ship

if any one is familiar with the rpg maker 2003 system there are a lot of defaults that you can change. like the skiff the ship and airship. but what i want to do is to make it look like the hero is sitting in the boat. so i though simple right i'll make an empty boat sprite then a sprite with the hero in the boat. but it's not as easy as it sounds.


so this is what i started with no hero in the boat and with the hero in the boat



i tried an event making the boat sprite change when the hero got in the boat but i just got the hero in two places like in the 3 photo. so if someone can help me i would appricate it
