So... I may have screwed myself, but I'm not sure yet.

When you first get the dragon, it prompts a battle and asks if you want to proceed to the battle. I didn't save for a while, so I said "no", saved, and now it doesn't prompt me to go to the battle again. Anyone know what to do?

I think it's a 1 time offer... :/

I never got it to successfully re-request me either; I did it on my second playthrough and you get skilltomes for it so...

The Chain System can get a bit imbalanced at times; maybe the damage should be reduced every time. Other than that, it was alright for me. (Reduce the HP in exchange) since technically, we can kill a boss in 1 turn (I'm not too good with timing games haha but some people could)...

I don't think I'll do a full fledged review yet but here are some things I wanted to note:

Battles: Overall, I liked the battles. I wish the first battle wasn't as difficult as it is though. I, as the player, was kind of just thrown into a fight against a fairly high level monster and forced into a near death situation in a pretty tough fight for the first time around where I read of the chain system but didn't really know what's up and yeah.... And then, you shove me into battle with like 6 mimics with no clue where they are, and therefore, little to no preparation. It was a great way for me to get acquainted with chaining (a lot) but really punishing for my first time through. Also, the chain system was alright (most of what I have to say has been already said) but it took away the focus from strategy and the like and just had me staring at my screen and pressing 'z' a lot... I did like the final battle of the first chapter though; basic but at least you incorporated a strategy into the game.

Story/Dialogue: First off, I have to say that, sometimes, the dialogue felt kinda stilted and a little awkward. Not enough to really throw it off, and it's hard to explain but it was kind of awkward. Also, I liked Arenna's backstory scene. It was good but it was a little early in the game. I understand that our main character here has known the girl for a long time but the player hasn't. So, when I start seeing this, I got a character I haven't really warmed up to yet kind of start spilling her heart to me. There's a link between the player and individual characters just as much there is a link between 2 characters and I suggest you keep mindful of that. Otherwise, the expressions, the overall story, the questions flying around were all great; I liked it.

Dungeons/Mapping: The mapping was good and the lighting/fog effects were done really well. I have no complaints. Oh but the Forest Temple was raining when I walked inside the first floor. Might wanna fix that. As for the dungeon though, I felt like there could've been better hints sometimes. Like for the keys in the dungeon, I wandered for a good 5 minutes around the dungeon looking for where to put those things. And the second to last part of the game, the tomb thingy? I didn't know where I could walk through those walls and where I couldn't. Little things like that kind of irk the player.

Overall though I really liked the game. The mapping was done well. The story is intriguing enough to warrant me playing through. The battles are engaging. The graphics are good (nostalgic for an ex-RO player :P) and the music was good (except for some weird transitions between music and RTP music). I liked the game and am looking forward to chapter 2 :)

I want this game to be hard. and the chain attacks balance because everytime you complete a chain it gets harder to complete the next, until it becomes impossible. There WILL be strategy but i needed to introduce 1 thing at at a time. I couldnt introduce the chain system and a million buffs/debuffs all at the same time lol... That would not be cool. Anyway, I promise GREAT things from chapter two!

I do love me a hard game. Trust me here haha. But well thought out progression is always a goodie. Throwing a player right into the mix with no clue how the game really works isn't a good idea.

I didn't know it gets harder to chain next time... Huh. That explains why I never passed like 8 chains <_<

No I wasn't dissing any lack of strategy yet haha. Like I said, the last battle really showed some promise. It's about 10x more strategy than like 90% of all games right there.

And I am looking forward to chapter 2. This game makes me look forward to it :)

Is this a demo? Why was it so short? O.o

Obelisk: Devilkiller

I like this game a lot. Though I must say, the lack of a sense of progression and advance with your characters is quite depressing lol... It lacks a sense of... "I'm doing something well" that you feel when your damage hits the 4 digits in FF or something.

Also the beginning was really really really really awkward.

Otherwise, it was a good game. Nice strategic value, etc. Though I must say Princess being useless 90% of the time and really good the other 10 was really annoying <_<

Soul Shepherd

Woah... Is this completed yet? I remember playing the demo and talking about production with you. I've largely lost interest in designing myself (might get back in for teamwork but not really feeling it).

This was a really good game concept and I'm glad to see it here :)

Hartacon RMXP

How important are UP's? Because since this isn't a large scale project where we have thousands of players, it'd be really easy to go into the game without UP and keep losing, no?

Mage Duel Extreme

I disagree with the wrong build thing; equipment builds can be sold as noted and enemies drop off basic equipment for you anyway.

For skill builds, the synergies are extremely self evident (I thought) and my builds were simple enough.
