Star Stealing Prince - Definitive

I rememember years ago I told someone that the maps of the star stealing prince was so good that could be commercial.
And here we got a commercial star stealing prince, can't wait to try it out!

Thank you for that comment ^^
That made my day :)

Dhux's Scar

Played it yesterday and beat it yesterday. Took me around 10 hours.
The game was great!
Nice storyline.
Good characters
Good plot twists.
Battles could be difficult but never like I felt to throw the keyboard into the wall.

And the effort putted into the custom graphic and cutscenes really is just the icing on the cake.
Loved it.

Looking forward to your future projects.

Memories of a Vagabond

Hey Darkelite. I was wondering why I spot Suikoden 2 artwork in your game?

They are slightly edited but it is still very obvious.

As it is a commercial game I just wanted to tell you that it is not actually allowed of what I heave heard...

I hope you did not take this in the wrong way.
I just wanted to give you a heads up.

Elements: Soul of Fire ~Trial Version~

I don't want to insult anyone. So don't get dishearted about what I'm about to say.
Even if you have poured your heart into the story and it's character.
If people get's distracted by things they see in the game from the storyline. Maybe it is worth to look into?
If you want people to see the meaningful messege.
And as you said, if people can't get past the graphic it will be meaningless.

But by just doing some small changes you could drastically improve the way people look at it. The least you could do is to define the edges of cliff's.

If anything I said was insulting I apologize, I just wished to give you a few heads up how to improve the game.

(one more thing)
My pc says your game is a harmful program. (using windows 7)
Maybe you can look up why that happens?

Valcarta I: Rise of the Demon

I have to agree to above's comments. When you are using a engine as rpg maker to make a commercial game it has to stand out among freeware games, if not why would people buy a game that is one among hundreds of similar ones that are free to play?

This is fine when it is none commercial. Like a hobby project to learn how to use the
software properly.

As commercial you need to walk some extra miles...
> Custom, custom and more custom! I may sound like a douche here but I believe people want to see new things. These tilesets and characters has been seen too many times in other games.
At least frankensprite them. Same with tilesets, you can create new looking ones using the ones provided if you don't got the artist skills to create complete new ones.
>Learn to map properly.
The maps are way too big and open and to be blunt, boring.
Play around with the engine! look at references! Maybe even take the opportunity
to learn some parallex mapping?

When it comes to maps take some time to look at "The Starstealing prince"
This is a freeware game that is so good that it could be commercial.
Go to amaranth games and download a demo of "Aveyond the lord of twiligt."

They maybe are not 100% custom in the graphic department but they frankensprite, mix tilesets, and proper plan and map their game + an engaging story to follow.

So play more games and take notes!
I don't say you should not go commercial but go the extra mile!
Good luck!
