You can get some nice interactions with him and his wife, also in the post-game~
You can gain about 2 good or 1 good with another karma point just by saving him and depending on your choices.
I... I did something horrible. I'm too lazy to restart the game so I reset the hunt mission count variable to 0, did the quest and reset it again to 3. I hope I did not break the game D:

If you've done the hunt missions before saving the fisherman...~ that's probably what happened :(

Just got Zhulwern and passed the dark cave.
Btw, has anyone ever got the drop from yellow fox? I'm dying to know what the "yellow drop" item do. I tried like forever but it never drops, even in hardcore or treasure hunt modes :\
@sawworm, if I buy it on steam later, will I be able to copy my current saved data to the steam version?

Btw, the first time I played this game, I remembered that I saved someone from being eaten by a fish. However, in my current playthrough, when I went and try to save this guy, it says that I was too late to save him. Did I do something wrong?

That's absolutely right since my post-game is still in making I'm trying to work on details... in snail speed (like I always do). I might add some post-game dialogues for them... But I don't think it'll improve their character development. But who knows I might add something or some event for them. I'm still brainstorming for an event that will place in the player house. Maybe that event will be their spotlight!
Speaking of dialogues, I just remembered that I opened the door to Aquana before I recruited Zhulwern and... there was a dialogue for him when he was not even in my party
