Yeah, I can sorta see what you're saying. The effect I'm going for is for a contrast between subdued and vibrant, but I think you might be right that the terrain is a bit too subdued compared to the village materials... I still sorta like it, and probably won't mess with it since I'm trying really hard to leave old areas that are done alone so that I can move on with the game, but I'll take the comment in mind next time I use this chip or another similar one.

Trailers for amateur games?

I don't much see the point unless you have some great system that's only well represented in video.

For one, I just don't think that we should, as creators, be wasting that much time on advertisement. There's just too much work to put in and too little time to put it in to spend time on extravagant advertising materials, imo. At least, until you're done with 100% complete game, there's really nothing to advertise. Demos should be for getting feedback, not getting fans or admiration - no point in a trailer for that. I see even less of a point in spending X hours making a trailer for a game you haven't even released and - let's face it, we all fall victim to this - are not very likely to ever release in any form
