I have yet to use the software so it may just be what was available in the engine, but why is one door twice the height of the other door and the characters? That and the excess of empty space are my main qualms. Are these buildings "as is" in the engine or personally designed? The grey building could use a little something to add character. Another window, shutters, differently colored roof, that sort of stuff. If it can't be changed, then please excuse my ignorance. I love the dialogue, that single phrase sold me. This game will certainly be added to my MUST PLAY list.
Only after writing this, did I notice the added and comment dates. I seem to be late, why is it still on the front page then? :/ Odd.

Since you decided to have all your buildings in a straight line I would suggest adding a worn walkway to the INN door, since it would be heavily traveled. Is your village going to be shaped or just linear as seen? If you can explore downward, I would go with the roofs/non interactive buildings. Otherwise roofs MAY cause endless confusion for the player spending x amount of time trying to figure out how to get to their front doors, not knowing they are just decor. I disagree however about the torches. I think if you could add a small flame or something lamp like, then add them symmetrically on both sides of road, it would add a touch of city feeling. Give an extra visual distinction between this city and smaller villages, or vice versa if this is just a small village. If flames are not possible, which I have no idea about, then the short ones are a great idea, but they need to look like a light source, making the existing pillars shorter would make them look even more like frozen bird baths. Looks great though!
