DS Games for Christmas

post=114269
I was thinking a lot about the Suikoden game for DS, but I have never played any Suikoden game (AND I HAVE NO INTENTIONAL OF IS BECAUSE I AM A HEATHEN), should I still get it?

It is pretty cool. The battles are fast paced, and it is definitely a long game. It is kind of mission oriented, and the character models look a little funny, but the environments are nice. Story is ok, kind of your typical teens save the world/evil cult kind of a thing. For the most part the voice acting is ok but for the first part of the game the main characters voice is annoying. I would check out some reviews and videos first to see if it is something you would like. As far as I could tell the story was standalone (I haven't played another Suikoden either and I never had a problem following)

My Band - The Sweatervescence

Sounds pretty solid. Your right about the singer though, I can see what you mean by him having potential, however right now he sounds... not too good. Not terrible, but not up to the par with the music, which makes it stand out more. He sounded a little better in the second song.

Also, maybe it is just my speakers, but the volume on the singer seems a little low compared to the rest of the recording.

Music wise was pretty great, I heart trumpets. Overall I would say you guys have some pretty good potential!

Can I ask what part of the band you are?

James. Cameron's. Avatar.

Haven't seen it yet, but talked to several people who have and all have said that it is amazing. I'll try and catch it on Monday, so we'll see.

Also I hate those mac commercials too

DS Games for Christmas

The new Zelda is pretty solid, as well as the Mario and Luigi's mentioned above.

I don't know if you like puzzles, but Picross is amazing. I'm not even really that big of a puzzle fan and I dig it.

RPG...
World Ends with You
Suikoden Tierkreis
Avalon Code
Chrono Trigger

Platformers...
Henry Hatsworth Puzzling Adventure... Pretty tough, but a good one to look into!
Any of the Castlevanias
New Super Mario Bros
Kirby Canvas Curse is awesome

And lastly Elite Beat Agents. It's awesome.

geocaching!! i went geocaching on several occasions(twice), but never found anything :(
i guess it's a lot harder without the trinket that tells you where stuff actually is.

@ratty: fantabulous photo :) i personally wouldve chosen arielle tho

Yeah we totally had the wrong type of GPS, so it made it really difficult to find them, you are supposed to be put right by the cache but my gps gave us a whole area to search for. Fun though.

@Ratty I agree with Kentona Jasmine is where its at. Mulan is cool too though.

The Official Multiplayer Topic. Seriously play some games together.

I've never played TF2

Your missing out man, that game is awesome. I stopped playing for a while and picked it up again with the War update, and now I'm hooked again... which may not be such a good thing.

@Outlander: Reminds me of back in the day when me and my brothers used to make home movies... good times.

G-G-G-G-G-Geocaching!

James. Cameron's. Avatar.

I work at a movie theater, and one with a real IMAX to boot, so i get the fancy privilege of seeing all these for free. Personally, I like 3d a lot. While most movies don't really come out at you, it adds a depth to the films and helps make certain things stand out or just look cool.

Coraline and Up where the best, in my opinion, and from what I hear avatar will be great as well. I'm still not entirely sold on it yet though. I'll catch it in imax, apparently the 3d is going to be incredible.

Also, as cool as I think 3d is, I don't know if I would pay the extra price to see it on most movies. Imax, on the other hand...

Update

Yeah, I kind of fell off the map for a while there. I should be able to keep a pretty steady pace from now on though, so hopefully I can release it in a timely fashion.

How long have you been working on your game?

I've been working on Majesty for about a year and a half, maybe two years. Of course, that's with periods where I didn't do very much work on it. I also spent a lot of time on the story and developing backgrounds and such, despite the fact most of it won't make it into the game.
