Just a hobbyist that likes to fiddle with rm2k3. Originally started on rm2k waaaaaaay back on Don Miguel's forums/website. My first game was Dawn of the Dragon, which was a very short crappy game that I decided to remake but never got around to finishing.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
been playing:
rune factory - tides of destiny, beat the 3rd one for ds not to long ago.
Army of two with a buddy lately on co-op.
Don't really play pc games much right now, as whenever i am on the computer i am working on my game project.
But I am probably going to play some left4dead 1 and 2 soon as I have been in the mood to kill zombies lately lol. Was also thinking of restarting up dead island again, loved that game.

But forgot to mention I am using cherry's dynrpg....the pot is using the particle effect. There a small bit of smoke. I am also using it on chimneys in the various towns and such.

The font doesn't stay!
maybe. if you mean by resuming your work by not closing rm2k3 before installing the font files then that's could be a possibility. Does work after you open and close rm2k3. Maybe even a pc reboot. Let me know if you figured it out.

Okay, so I copied and pasted the fonts into the WINDOWS/FONTS folder and it worked.

So how do I permanently fix the font?
Do you mean for rm2k/3? What font files did you copy? If you are getting the squished fonts usually copying and pasting the fonts in the windows/fonts directory will work. you using XP/Vista/7?
You said it worked temporarily...what did you do before it stopped working?

Charas Project and Blade2k are probably your best bet.
Yea i forgot about them. last night i found some that look ok. I changed some things around. only problem is they did not have a vertical version only a horizontal. So did some editing, it came out ok but it kind of sticks out a bit when the corners connect.

I might play with some more later, but thinking about leaving it...dont really think palisades were built in perfect squares anyway.

meh, i take reviews as constructive criticism. And besides, most gamers are assholes and are never happy, they nitpick worse then my wife.
It's better to take their review with a grain of salt or even go a step further and take what they are complaining about and try to learn from it and hopefully don't repeat the same mistake.
But yea, some seem to go out of their way just to be an asshole. There are better and nicer ways to criticize to get your point across, and if your nice about it they will usually listen to what you have to say a lot better then if your just being mean about it. But you also have to take in consideration it's easy to take things the wrong way online, as things could read as being mean but they didn't mean it to be like that.

Are you really requesting for wooden walls? If so, this should be pretty easy.
Yes I am. I would do them myself but i am not much of an artist. I can do minor edits, but that is about it. If I can find a template of sorts then I can easily edit them to my liking.

Here's some trivia for the historically interested: The correct term for wooden walls in this context would be "palisades".

Rm2k3 - tileset request
Currently I am mapping out poor and rundown village. So instead of the regular stonewalls i want to have wooden walls to show just how poorly protected this village is, as its supposed to be a small farming community. I did a google search but All i got was unrelated stuff, and it was for VX. I looked in the resource thread and found nothing useful, so if anyone can point me in the right direction that will be great. Thanks.
