Just a hobbyist that likes to fiddle with rm2k3. Originally started on rm2k waaaaaaay back on Don Miguel's forums/website. My first game was Dawn of the Dragon, which was a very short crappy game that I decided to remake but never got around to finishing.

strange rpg maker 2003 problem
what do you mean when you say "3 0f 4 characters"....you mean the 3rd out of 4 characters or 3 out of 4 of the characters?
anyway in 2k3 go to the database and in animations 2 tab...check there to see if you have the right selections picked.

or maybe he went to a library? to a friends house? some place ELSE with a internet connection?
@firehawk11; if you have a usb flash drive go to the library, friends, or wherever u can get access to the net and download it. Even if you don't have a usb flash drive a cd-r/dvd-r will work, since most pc's nowadays (think even libraries too) have a cd-burner. I will try that route first if you can.

OK I'll make a game with you. It's going to be an original game called "Revenge of the Hats". It's a game about people who wear hats who return to a peaceful city to release their anger and bring misfortune to everyone.

well what are your skills sazhchocobo? mapping? artist? eventing? and can you show a sample if possible?

@ ashes; it is possible to get the files back from the harddrive if it wasn't the hard drive which died. there is actually a 20-30$ adapter you can get to hook it up to your new computer via a usb cable. it's available on newegg (computer store). I can scrounge up the link if you want :)'

here is the link anyway. and they lowered the price. with this it acts as a external HDD or even a flash drive. and you can easily get your files off your old HDD this way.
You just have to remove the HDD from the laptop, which isn't to hard. And you happen to know someone with this type of adapter even better :).
If you need any help feel free to pm/im me.. I build/work on computers and I have a degree in computer networking, so I will try and help you anyway I can. I know how it feels to lose data :(. Well good luck I hope this helps...

Gun/magic abs system RPG maker 2003

its a legend of zelda starter pack. it gives you examples with arrows. if your planning on using magic, you will probably do something similar to this. I don't know if it's exactly what you want but maybe it will point you in the right direction. took me like 3-4 days to figure this out and implement it in my game. Good luck!
