The Coins and the Crown
Thank you for playing the game and for taking the time to make a video about it, I read the review you've published in June but had no idea you also recorded a walk-through.
I have to admit, when I heard the video basically opens with "honestly this game is kind of annoying" I almost didn't watch it, I was kind of scared it will be a nasty video full of insults, but I decided to take a breath and watch it anyway and I'm glad I did because the two videos were civilized and my fears were unfounded.
I would like to address some of the points you made in the videos, it's a bit long so please bear with me:
1. The Visual Novel tag
This game is a visual novel with a puzzle and multiple endings. I know that when most people hear the term Visual Novel they think about branching visual novels like Otome games where you have choices, starting early in the game, to split the story into different routes with the different love interests etc.; but there are also linear visual novels where there is only one story line and kinetic visual novels with no choices at all, example – most of the Umineko series. The game I made has a lot of text and no gameplay other than the puzzle and that is exactly why the game is tagged as a Visual Novel Puzzle game.
If you only want to solve the puzzle without the text, then after completing the game once you can play the casual option, where it's only the puzzle and there's almost no text (you'll need to play Avoid the Curse version once to unlock that version in casual, but that's it). The only reason to play each of the story modes more than once is to see the other endings you haven't seen, and you can use the casual mode to practice so you won't need to repeat the story modes over and over.
2. The story in general
I wanted to make a small project; this was my first game so I wanted something simple that won't drag on, mostly to gain the full experience of creating a game from start to finish, so I drew inspiration from old school games with very simple stories that don't have much explanation (at least not in-game).
3. How the Demon King was able to kidnap the Goddess?
The Goddess is the second strongest god after the Divine, but the Demon King is the strongest demon; in the general power scale the Demon King is weaker than the Divine but actually slightly stronger than the Goddess, so as long as she was alone and he took her by surprise he could seal her powers and kidnap her without a problem. The gods (including the Divine) are not omnipotent so no one could see this coming; also, the Demon King didn't kidnap the Goddess from the temple, she wasn't even in the mortal plane at the time; the gods of this story live in the celestial realm and only descent to the mortal plane when absolutely necessary; so a god will not visit their temple unless it's a very special occasion, like the good ending of the game. Also: all of the gods are the Divine's children, and all the humans are the gods' children.
4. Ellipses
I have to agree, there are too many of them in the game and they are very annoying. I can't believe I haven't notice this before; but from now on, in future games, I will not be using them like that anymore and will use the Silence Speech bubble instead.
Thank you for reading my reply, and for playing the game.

The Coins and the Crown Review
Thank you for playing my game, and thank you for taking the time to write a review about it.
The idea of the Demon King and Young Acolyte needing to work together is interesting. This game is over, but I have just started working on a sequel that will be longer, with more puzzles and RPG elements, and I'm looking for more puzzle options. The idea for 2 players puzzle is kinda interesting, I'll consider it.
About the typo; thank you for letting me know! I've fixed it, and finally did what I needed to do from the beginning; I checked all in-game text in a grammar program and I think I finally fixed all of the typos. I have updated the download to the fixed version, and now I'll know in the future to run my text through a grammar program as I write it for a game to avoid (or st least reduce) typos and grammar errors.

Game page summary update has been reset to the original summary

That is really weird and I'm not sure why or how that happened. I assume it may have had something to do with backups to the site, maybe?
If this is the case, I can only apologise for the inconvenience. You may have to redo it, I'm afraid.
That said, you haven't given anyone access to your account, right? Or added anyone else as a dev? Because they'd be able to change your page in that case, though you did say it was back exactly how it was before, so I doubt that's the case, just want to make sure of it so we can rule it out.

I remember when updating the CSS on my game pages, I had to clear the cache in order to see the changes on my desktop browser. The changes were there, but my computer wouldn't show them for some reason. Are you using the same device to check the game page, or something different, like a mobile device? Hopefully it's something as simple as clearing the cache.
author=Marrend
A hard refresh, which would clear the cache, is absolutely necessary to see changes/updates in a CSS. That shouldn't be the case for a change/update in a description, as far as I'm aware.
Thank you for the replies. I haven't given anyone access to my account or added another dev (I'm the only one). And I've seen the changes both on my computer and another, unrelated computer, before the summary just reset two day after I made the changes.
I've re-updated the summary now after reading your replies, but how do I clear the cache? I don't know how to access it...
Game page summary update has been reset to the original summary
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but I have an issue with the game;'s summary: I've been made aware of some typos in my game and fixed them, I've replaced the old downloads with the updated ones and updated the summary with the changes (like: Edit xx/xx/xx: this and that have changed, the downloads have been updated) and it worked fine, this was two days ago. Yesterday I've looked at the game's summary and it was still fine, but when I looked today the updates I've made were gone! it's like the summary defaulted back to the original summary (I've checked the downloads and they're the updated ones, so no problems there. Why did the summary update had reset, and how to fix this?
The Coins and the Crown Review

Considering this is your very first game, it wasn't bad. I liked the spirits minigame even though I haven't beat it. The battle system seems quite unique. Is it all done with events? If so, it's really nice work.
Thank you!
Don't give up, it would probebly help to treat it more as a puzzle then a game.
I wouldn't call it a battle system, but yes this is all events, glad you like it!
The Coins and the Crown Review
Thank you for the review!
This is the first game I've ever made and I appreciate the input. About the issues you found in the game, thank you for bringing them to my attention. I'll do my best to address them:
- about the "no exploring, no free movement" issue: this game is a short one. at the beginning I thought about having the player move around and interact but I realized it just didn't add anything to this particular game, so I made it a visual novel game instead (I do have a sequel planned that will be longer and will have a lot more free movement like traditional RPGs).
- about the typos: English is not my main language so that's not surprising, I'll go over the intro and try to spot the typos but if you can tell me exactly where they are it'll help.
- And about the "no save, no skipping, restart the game" issue: Did you watch the credits to the end? You can save after they ends, for a reason ;) Seriously, if you've gone past the credits and needed to restart the game this is actually a major issue with the game, please tell me about it!
Once again, thank you very much for your review!
Edit: I've found and fixed all the typos mantioned in the review, and have updated the downloads. If you spot other typos or issues please let me know.

Is it possible to change my user name?
I was wondering if it is possible to change my user name? if so, how do I do it, or who should I PM?

If I may, what script did you use to make the "character journal"? I'm looking for something just like that.

That's quite weird... Did you download the updated version of the demo? The 1.2? Because if I remember correctly, I already fixed that glitch.
No, I downloaded the 1.0 one, I didn't notice there's a 1.2 version. I'll download it now and check it out. Thank you!

im experiencing a glitch, after i finish doing orders for cooks in tavern i step out of the kitchen and bar tender says KAI WAIT and then turns around and whole game freezes and i cant move. pls tell me how to fix this game is beautiful i need to continue XD. nvm fixed it, it loaded the save files from older demo version
I have that glitch too... I don't really understand how to fix it...
Also, something I found out when I was taking the orders, the Costumers' event work fine (Order, Receive Order, Order Received) but the Cook's event doesn't:
After getting the first order, if you talk to the cook, he'll give you the same order, talk to him twice more and you'll receive the 2nd order twice without even giving the 1st or talking to the 2nd costumer, and after that if you talk to him again he'll just keep giving you the 3rd order over and over... if you go after and talk to the costumers you'll give them their orders without them telling you what they even wanted (because you already have the orders in your inventory). and after that you'll have extra "order" items, as many extras as you got.
P.S: I really love the game so far, it just... that "Kai wait." glitch...
