@Blindmind
I removed the animated clouds and stuck to rain with SEs and light flashes for storm effects.
I've remedied the issue with the stairs. The game is meant to be light-hearted asthetically, but it is by no means intended to be "comical".
I played around more with the contrast and overlays for the day/night system.

I feel posting more now would be redundant, so once I've completed all maps with overlays (after I've practiced a bit) I'll post more. Thanks for the insight!

Edit: I believe I saw earlier in this thread it is courteous to post a screen-shot for the first post on each page. Is this true? Anyways, southern part of the world map in "Dense Worlds"

Greetings!

Thanks for the welcome. From the looks of your admirable score, your conviction has been bountiful! I'd really like to crank out a short game to find what people like and what people don't like, as well as my weaknesses, before I pay for software. However, RPG Maker 2003 is the engine I'm most familiar with, so I will most likely do exactly what you recommended and purchase that. VX is, currently, aesthetically unappealing to me, anyways.

Hello! Brand new here.. I'm creating a game in RPG Tsukuru 2003, so that all you professionals may find my weaknesses. It's an old school, light-hearted-looking ARPG focusing on environmental immersion, catchy battles, and a very, very somber story. I made some stuff yesterday and figured I'd post them up, so I can begin learning immediately.

Upper right corner of the EXTREMELY SMALL (50x40, only 35x24 of that being land), but EXTREMELY DENSE world map.

West section of Waterdorf, the elven haven.

Greetings!

Hello everyone! I'm an RPG veteran, but haven't been in the game creation community in, oh, about 10 years. I'm old. My experience is riddled with vague memories of playing the elder RM games like Blurred Line, Legion Saga, and Chimera Report (I even got to play about half of Fates of Alerha by Inoran back then, if anyone remembers that :P. We attended the same high school) on the old GW website.

I recently found RPG Tsukuru 2003 (I noticed that it was no longer 2k3) on an old laptop, and decided to see if things were still going strong in the RM world; I was not disappointed! I'm elated that this community (hasn't murdered each other) is still going strong, and look forward to learning how to properly create a fun game, and play all of your games, too!

So, without any further platitudes, I've decided to create a (rough draft of a...) game in RPG Tsukuru 2003, so you may find my weak points. Then, I'll endeavor to purchase the proper commercial software, and create something actually worth playing.

Most importantly, I hope you all have an amazing day! See you around.
