Hey Hennamann, I tried the demo and found a bug that appears to just be faulty eventing (I really don't know since I can't see it...). If the player approaches the ladder at the beginning, it continually repeats the "whiny baby" dialogue. Just a heads up! It's lookin' good.

I just started using Microsoft Expression (somewhat of a trial - some options are unusable, but there is no watermark or any other external way of showing it in the video, thank goodness!)...To me, it was a good place to start...
Menu woes

The menu is just done on a tile set, this is a first-time thing for me, so I'm really taking as many easy options as I can. It looks alright though.
Ah, taking the tile set route. Right now I'm attempting it all with picture overlays (I've got a ton-and-a-half conditional branches!). However, the tile set way is definitely easier.
A HUGE PROBLEM WITH MY RM2K3 GAME
Yeah, you gotta be careful using Parallel Processes in RM2K3. For some reason it (along with loops) tend to get very squirrelly especially when there's many of them. A good suggestion would be to do as Liberty said and just in case, if you ever use loops, DON'T! Use labels instead, they're twenty times more stable.

I know exactly how you feel Livewire...I myself am doing an all custom menu in RM2K3 and it's difficult, but looks so darn good! Good luck to you! Looking forward to this game!
How much do y'all like midi?
I noticed this issue was brought up earlier but if filesize is considered an issue for anyone who wants their music in a non-midi format, using Audacity to both convert (I personally am a strong believer in .ogg) and lower the project and bit rates you can cut down on size and (if you're careful with how far you lower your rates) still retain a good quality sound.
