Cave World into Infinit:A Question on Betas

Right now, I'm making a game named Cave World,no connection to Cave Story. It's about a kid who goes into a cave known as the dark world, and finds monsters hidden in each part of the cave. Not that far in it.
I was going to make a game by the name of Infinit. It was about a group of orphans, all related, who end up leaving when they find out they have powers, and are chased by the government.
Now, I watched a video today, and it brought back memories of Infinit, constantly using the word infinite. I've ran into problems with doing more than one project at a time, and I don't seem to like the idea of doing these 2 at once. So, what about merging? Neither of these games are out yet, never of even started Infinit officiallly, besides making a site. How could a horror game about a kid in a cave, and a sci-fi game about orpans come together? Well, I want to ask you these questions.
Have you ever thought of merging a past game yoe never finished, with a game you're planning to finish? Do you think it would be a good idea?
And what would be the name for such a game?
I hope I put this topic in the right section, and I hope questions are answered. :3

Can we make another character for only our own, or can we do a villain if it's for someone else's game? :3 Because I want to see how someone does a villain of my game, so I don't want to do it. I want to do someone else's. :3

PS:Can't you tell I love the cat face. :3

[~WRITE OFF THE BAT~] Care to Elaborate?

I looked at the prompts, then looked at the title of the topic...
It didn't seem to have corralation. Kind of confusing. In this one, we are suppose to right about items or buildings...right?

How to make a food/water system

author=TheGowans
Your food/water system would require at it's very base, some form of time system, either within the food water system or through an overall day night system.

Eg/ Parallel process common event named 'Thirst'. Wait 10 seconds, thirst - 1

You could set the scale to be whatever eg 30 seconds with your own max or min for thirst.

What happens at each interval would be up to you. It could be expanded by making certain actions such as running or fighting make these meters go down even quicker.

Hope this helps a little.

It does somewhat, could you show me a picture to see if I can understand a little better? There is no fighting in my game, BTW. Normally RPG maker Horror games don't include battles. Very few ones I know, do that. Maybe the running system would be a good idea, to connect with water in that certain way. But, I have to make it directly a hunger/thirst system, because day and night don't work too well in caves.

How to make a food/water system

I saw someone wanted to make a food and water system, and that's when I thought, "Hey, I'm making a horror game! Wouldn't it make sense to do this?"
You see, I'm wanting to make the game based off if you survive or not, and how the character reacts to the monster, like a normal game. So while I think of a monster to be attacked by, I'm thinking of also adding a mental fear to the player. Such as, if they got to a point wear they find poison water, they aren't going to care if they're water level is low! They will panic, try drinking the water, and be all,"FAIL", when they found out they died. I also felt like making a time system for when in the caves, if someone thinks of coming inside, so you never know what will happen. The endings could come random based off of random events that happen for all I know. All I know, is I want it to end based off if the character dies or not. So starving or getting too thirsty should be part of this. And I thought about it. And well, I can't think of a way to make this work without a player ragequitting, or just failing. And even in my example, they would ragequit. Plus I really don't understand how I would do this.
So, if I can find someone who could help me make a food/water system, I'd be very greatful!

Mothy finished!

Fucking awesome. Thanks! Almost EXACTLY as I wanted it! Looked so much as I imagined her. I just can't help but think something...it's just that I always thought Mothy without wings. When I said fly, I meant like hover. :3 Don't worry, I still REALLY love Mothy here.

How did you get into game development? TELL US EVERYTHING

Okay, at around 7, the same age I got injured, I decided to make just paper games. I would draw and use toys as the pieces, but since I had no friends close by, and my family only thought of it as cute...and I think another reason would be of how I like to change the rules alot, I never got someone to play with me. I remember years ago, I saw my dad with a game maker, but never knew what it was all about. Well, after a while, I saw a video on Youtube, I think I was wondering if said thing existed, or just went random seeing the name somewhere, I don't know, but I found VX. I tried my first 'real' game as my second project. I know, dumb idea. Good thing it was never finished. Well, I see my dad coming over to me as I'm making a game, and he notices an animation that isn't normal it seemed. Using events, I had combined animations and made a cool looking explosion. My dad was impressed. About a year or 2 later, after I saw XP, 2K, and 2K3, my dad tried to make a VX game. He had no idea of how switches worked, and by that time, I knew how to use them. I told him how, and walked him through. He seemed quite impressed with that too. Through all those years, he used teleports as switches, and I 1-uped him. That's when I realized I wanted to make games.
Even now, not 1 real project finished, but I'm still trying, through hardship, I still haven't stopped. Maybe that's a bad thing, because I have way too many ideas to put to work, and even though I realize it, I'm just too ignorant to put them on paper, possibly the main reason I keep screwing up. I still love what I do though. :3

1. Game name:M.O.T.H.Y.
Main Character's name:Mothy
2. Mothy has 2 normal attacks, punch and kick, but if a button is held, these moves will charge into Fatal-Punch or Fatal-Kick. Power-ups include a Hellish Yard icon that sends her to an easier version of the level a player is on, an invincability power-up, and an icon with wings, allowing Mothy to fly for a certain amount of time according to the amount of health she has.
3. In the game Mothy, a platformer, she can jump, and attack in 2 ways, already described. The point of the game is to get from Level 1, the Hellish Yard, to the final level, the Heavenly Yard. In each level, there are five Hellish Yard icons, and when she collects, it sends her to a Level 1 version of the existing section, except for in the final level, which only has 1 icon, and it sends you to the boss. To attack, she can jump and attack enemies from above, or just attack enemies as normal. Level 1 is the tutorial stage, and as the game progresses you go from HY, to the Earthly Realm, to the final stage. This game has 8 stages, and has 3 different endings. 2 are bad endings, one is good, and to get the good ending, you have to collect all the Hellish Yard icons from each stage. You only need to find 1 of them to finish a stage though. Some stages have certain gimmicks that deal with fighting off enemies or using available power-ups, but other than that, just get Hellish Yard icons, and get to the end. There is also a 2-player mode, but it might as well be a whole different game, taking the fighting game style.
4. Original
5. Mothy is the daughter of satan, and the Master of the Hellish Yard. She is the villain of the story, even though she is also the main character, and besides in 2P mode, is the only one playable. She has dark purple clothes, light brown skin, black hair, brown eyes, no shoes, and has a nice figure. As a sprite, same thing, except the eyes are black, and it's a sprite, no one would care about her looks besides the fact she's suppose to look like a girl. She has power over all sins, story wise, but in game she shows no sign of so. Her personality is shown in the 2P mode when her 8-bit cursing is heard as she gets the shit knocked out of her.
6. Story:In the world of Hell, Satan realized that there was no other way to take over the living world, besides a being like him. So he found a way to have a daughter, and raised her to take over the living world. But to do this, Mothy would need to do whatever it takes, even taking out the world existing in Heaven, and so, the war between good and evil began, and Mothy began her trip to the Heavenly Yard to take on it's master, and defeat it.

Edit:BTW, maybe I wrote too much for the description... :(
