Secret Santa Surprise~ 2012

author=Liberty
"The presents are user-generated pieces like songs, reviews, graphics (whether they be a chipset or title screens or logos) or fan-stuff (art, media, LPs, fiction, even). "

In other words, on the 10/11th I will send you a name. They might have something they'd like to receive. If you can fulfill that wish, do so, but if not - say they want a song and you're not musically inclined - make something else, something you can do. Maybe a review or fanart or Let's Play something based on one of their games.

On the 22nd, you will send that item to me via PM and one Christmas Eve I will send them all to the people they belong.

Oh, and if you ask for something, is there a limit of how specific it is? Or should you be as specific as you can? :(

Secret Santa Surprise~ 2012

I'd like to sign up! Count me in!
One question though. How do we do presents? Just tell you? I know, 1 present, but still, it's kind of confusing on how we do the present thing. I guess I'll find out.

Video game tunes that get stuck in your head often?

author=kentona
Mostly music from SMB on the NES (also SMB2 and SMB3)

EDIT:
also, lately this:

Since someone already did this, I guess I will have to go with...

Who didn't see this coming? I know not that many people may know that much of this song, but being a somewhat techno remix, about a futuristic apocalyptic fire city, originally played by fake orchestral insturments, it still ended up being a really catchy song when this remix appeared in Generations. Me being a Sonic fan, my second song that gets stuck in my head is the original Chemical Plant, then finally a Pokemon song, Lavender Town.
These 3 songs, oh god. Crisis City Classic, Chemical Plant Zone, and Lavender Town song, these are my favorite and least favorite. Songs I love to hear, and songs I feel are my nightmare. THESE SONGS PLAY IN A LOOP, ALL THROUGHOUT THE GOD DAMNED DAY, ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE POINT WHEN I'M TAKING A SHIT! These songs, are just...just...fuck.

Crisis City Classic: Just listen to it...yeah. Not too much to say about how catchy this is. Plus, with all the remixes, I being a Sonic fan, must have heard a lot of them. They sound very close to the original, some of them.

Chemical Plant Zone: When I was young, and first played this game, I couldn't get past this zone for some reason. Something always distracted me. Then, it'ss the fact that everytime I play this game, I at least run into this zone 1 time, whether I play it with Level Select or not. Plus, with that chance, I have debug and Super Sonic as well, so I could breeze through it without hearing the song then. The issue, it's an awesome song. And if it weren't for this game, and beating it, I would of never loved Sonic enough, to find Generations and watch it's videos. And I definetly wouldn't of seen this Zone.

Lavender Town: Fuck this place. Surrounded by creepypasta and stories up my ass, down to Hell, and back, there could of been no way that when I heard of Lavender Town, and didn't know what it was at the time, I wouldn't of searched it up. The song loops. It fucking loops. But not only that, but more god damn remixes. A story JUST ABOUT Lavender Town's music itself, and so on. This music when turned up to it's loudest while playing it on Gamecube, gave me a headache, like in the story. But whenever I hear it, I smile, knowing it's going to get stuck in my head again. That's not even the worst part. I play through Pokemon Red now, not for the game itself, but to see Lavender Town. And that means I have to go through Rock Tunnel, where I am raped by Zubats and Geodudes galore. I can't believe how much I LOVE this place, even though I've said so many negative things about it! Just try, try and gets this out of your head, after playing this song just 2-5 times in a row. At least play it twice. You'll regret it.

1: Mario and the War Factories
2: Dr. Toadly
3: Billionaire, Evil genius. Clinically Insane, nack for revolutionary, dangerous technology.
4: Antagonist of Mario and The War Factories, sends hordes of mind-controlled toads and various machinery at protagonist (guess who)
5: Original
6: Like any other toad, only became twisted and devious. Has crazy, bloodshot, red eyes, wears a yellow shirt, blue shoes, and has silver-ish grey pants. The mushroom head is silver with green spots. Regular toad skin.
7: No one knows what went wrong with the straight-A, perfectionist, innocent young toad that went to Whittington University. It might of been the abusive parent, low pay and horrid living conditions. Maybe it was the sight of the tragic death of his loving twin sisters that drove him insane, or perhaps the overwhelming desire to correct his mental disability. Whatever the direct cause, it doesn't matter now. He won't stop untill he destroys the wretched planet that dare take away all things near and dear to him. Not even a super powered plumber/doctor/boxing ref/brawler/demon slayer can stand in his way for long.
I'm sorry you spent time writing this out; however, I am not drawing existing characters from existing games.
(namely the Super Mario universe.)

And, also, even the name of your game is from your SMBX episode. *plays fail music*

Cave World into Infinit:A Question on Betas

I hate to bump, and I know it isn't allowed, but nothing has happened since my,"What?", post. I don't know WTF he said, or why everyone is ignoring this, but I'm just confused. Guess I put this in the wrong section.

RMN Christmas Pixel Quilt 2012

What are you thinking about right now?

Thinking about why the Lavender Town song gave me a headache.

REQUEST SHEET
1.PopLand 2: Prince Popstar vs Lord Lardanum!
Character:Lord Lardanum

2. As an enemy or in this case, final boss, he has no power-ups. He does have 2 phases, and 3 attacks for his first phase.
First phase: He can use a sound blocker, that keeps certain sounds from hurting him. He has the ability to drug Prince PopStar in a way that in-game, makes the character's controls completely reversed for 10+ seconds, varying by what attack was recently used. He can also turn into his second phase whenever he wants, before he hits half health. When he gets to half health, the second phase is normally triggered, and instead of being a drug thing( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laudanum ), he is now a metal singer! He can sing in such a way, it hurts Prince Popstar more than any of PP's attacks would to Lardanum, actually double the amount. When defeated, he just explodes.
3. Kinda like kirby, wario, or megaman? platformer, with singing type attack, and new songs let him change the environment in new ways? (unchanged)
4. Original, bright colors, pop idol theme. (This is unchanged since this is about game, not character)
5.
Normal/Phase 1: With a human head, grey eyes, and a medicine bottle body, the only insteresting look on this thing is his hair. His hair is long, black, and wet with alchohol. He also has green skin, no pants or clothing. Just a medicine bottle for a body, and a weird head.
Phase 2: He becomes a badass, with black hair, red sharp clothing, black boots, and spikes almost everywhere on the clothing, he can also somewhat float, giving that extra hint of awesomeness. He has completely red skin, compared to his green skin from earlier.
6. After Prince Popstar regained his kingdom from the Rock n' Rollers, a new threat emerges as Lord Lardanum steals Princess Bubbleheart! (unchanged)
