Ok i will download the game and see how it looks and i feel i should say i really do like the idea of the game i just kind of have OCD when it comes to somethings in video games :)
Anyway i will be bad after i take a look to say how i feel.....unless you would rather me say nothing if so just tell me and i will zip my lips.
It was only minor changes, so try to not get your hopes up too high. Haha
Pixel art is certainly not my strong point, so I had to settle a bit, but even with its crudity I'm still proud of the game as a whole. And feedback is always welcome :)

Man i won't lie to you the pics of the cats are kind of....bad looking unless i did something wrong but they don't feel right....I know i have no right to say anything since i suck at art but i think the biggest thing is the lines on the outer edges of the face pics.
No, I actually agree with you. I should fix that one of these days. It should be an easy fix, I just didn't know what I was doing at the time... Hopefully you like the game otherwise!
Edit: I re-uploaded the game after "fixing" the character portraits. Don't get me wrong, they still look terrible, but at least I was able to get rid of the lines on the outer edges. Hopefully that makes things a little bit better at least. Enjoy!

This is a tired excuse. Literally no one is "blessed" with artistic ability. It's a finely-honed skill.
I respectfully disagree. I think some people have more innate artistic ability than others, although it can be improved through diligent practice. That's like saying no one is blessed with the ability to play basketball; some are naturally better than others but it is also a finely-honed skill.

A Plea: Don't Make Your First Game a Team Game
This is a great article to point out. I'm a member who checks the site most days but has rarely posted comments, but i feel this is an article worth a comment.
I have finished one game and am working on another (don't worry, I won't advertise them here) and haven't really asked anyone on the site for help. But I know what it's like to be new to the site without knowing all the unwritten rules. So, articles like this one are great and would be helpful to go in a "for newbies" section. Thanks for writting it and while I'm at it, thanks to everyone on the site for all the help and resources provided here!

All the way up to 850 downloads is crazy to me, getting real close to 1000! I am all done putting work into this game, but I have actually been putting a lot of work into another game which is a bit more ambitious. A lot of stuff going on in real life right now (new baby!), but hopefully I can add that new game on here real soon. Hope everyone keeps enjoying this one though!

I'm sorry about that but thanks for letting me know! I'm not sure why that happened after it had been working for so long. Anyway, I re-uploaded a compressed file that is working for me now. So, give it a try and let me know if you are still having any trouble with it.

Hey!
I just finished playing your game, and want to tell you how much I enjoyed playing it.
In my opinion, this game deserves at least 4 stars, so the rating is a bit low. The game, being your first, is beautifully executed, there are no bugs, no glitches, no crushes, and most of all grammatically it's almost perfect, sans a few mistakes.
I hope you continue making games!

What are all those switches in all the Inns did?
Thank you so much for the feedback, I love hearing it. This was my first game and I AM actually working on another game right now with another friend of mine with a much more widely known set of heroes (I'll put that up on this site one day soon enough).
The switches in all the Inns actually changed the music, only temporarily until you leave the inn. But there are about 10 of them placed throughout the game and they play some of my favorite music from old NES and SNES games, so hopefully you enjoy those. And thanks so much again for playing it!!
