SBETHUNE81'S PROFILE
Hello! I'm the 6th-8th grade math and science teacher at a small K-8 school in the Sierras. I recently moved to Oakhurst, California, about 30 minutes outside of Yosemite, with my wife and 16 month old son. Before that, I worked as a 5th grade teacher in San Jose. I love designing and playing video games and cooperative board games. My favorite parts of RPG making are writing and eventing. When I'm not doing that, I like to run, bike, and play volleyball. There is never enough volleyball.

Misaos Nominations and Games of 2012
That's a shame...Manifest was posted on the site December 16 of last year. Never had a chance. Just out of curiosity, what were you going to nominate it for? =)

@Cornflake - Thanks for playing Manifest. Glad to hear you found the last piece. As far as the cave goes, you'll have to wait on that.

Thank you both for giving Manifest a shot. Some help below...

Have fun and thanks again.

You can push the boulders scattered around the maps on top of the steam coming from the ground. This will result in a geyser of water shooting up somewhere else on the map, with various results. Hope this helps.

The piece in the trading company is the eighth piece you're looking for. You should be able to get to it...have you tried going along the bottom of the room, so that you are behind the bottom wall? Let me know if you try again and still can't get to it. Actually, please also let me know if you get it, to put my mind at ease. Thanks.
Have fun and thanks again.

I think I was vague enough but better safe than sorry. The second room of the place where you do that favour for Ryimm. Am I missing something, like one of the papers to help with the Nayrin Ruins? The sign gives me colours corresponding to each switch, but that doesn't shed any light on what to do.
Is there a hint somewhere that I failed to pick up? Or should I be able to work it out based on a single clue more cryptic than what you'd find in a Dan Brown novel?
(Though if I DO have everything I need, don't give me the answer. I'll try to solve it. I just want to make sure before I START trying to solve it that I'm not struggling hopelessly when I simply missed something along the way.)
EDIT: Okay so I just stepped on random switches wildly and the damn door opened. Don't how the flying ninja cow Christ that happened, but I guess I shouldn't complain! This probably DOES use up my lifetime allotment of amazing good luck, though. You now owe me surgery expenses, wall repairs AND lottery winnings. Luck or no luck, though, I'm still curious as to whether that puzzle was MEANT to be solved then or whether I missed something.
Wow. I love it!
"The sign gives me colours corresponding to each switch, but that doesn't shed any light on what to do." It's impossible not to appreciate how perfect your wording was on that. It's like you subconsciously knew that the switch order was based on the visible spectrum of light. But even more amazing is that with 6 switches it works out to a 1 in 720 chance that you would hit the solution by pressing them randomly.
I'd say it's time to book a trip to Vegas. The rates before Christmas are always pretty good.

He mentioned that he doesn't like the common beeps and blips of RPG's when scrolling through menus and making choices in and out of battle. I can definitely understand that, but unfortunately, he also misses out on the songs, which are often painstakingly chosen to fit the mood of each scene.

@Gavaroc Fevinor - Finding and readng your post(s) made my day. Thanks for playing Manifest, and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. As for that particular ice boulder room, it has definitely been the most asked about puzzle in the game. But you got it! I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts as you progress further, and I definitely wouldn't mind a review at the end =). Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. Thanks again.

@sbethune81 where can i find all the clues in the sanctum for opening the door at the top floor, i cant find a,c,d,e?
Some help below. Nice job making it so far.
A is one less than D
G is equal to the sum of D and E
I is 7 times bigger than E
There is no hint for C. You will know the value by the process of elimination when all the others have been found.

@Frostii - Congratulations on making it so far! That's excellent. As far as that ruins goes, it's hard to help someone through it, because I don't have the route/order memorized. It will rely on some trial and error, but I can tell you that the completed path will be up in the top right corner. You are talking about the ruin on the small island where it's raining, right?
