[RMXP] bdlnds Open Beta (NEW COOL BEST) (updated! v2) WOW

Although I couldn't even hear your friend at all.
(I blame OBS, though I may switch recording strategy for the 3rd one; boosted audio on the vid for V2)

Either that or I need to get him to talk louder/shout 'cause I can't seem to un-noise-cancel my damn mic.

Also, how the hell does your AV change on every damn refresh? (Though it's fitting on this one as I'm getting a scared Data)

I appreciate the lp, and of course I made improvements, I just wanted complete the game first, and then I'll fix it up and add maps inbetween the maps I already have.

Ehhh, while I kinda disapprove of this kinda method (I dub it the "EA method") to each his own, I suppose.

Though I do think it sparks a bit of interest in me if only to see how all the in-between gets fleshed out.

The reason I'm doing this is so I can insure that in some form, the project will be finished.

This isnt a presentation. Had it been one I would have applied for a gamepage. It would probably get more views that way. Besides, where does it say that presentations are reserved for game pages?

I don't want to be rude, but the tutorial about controlling the mouse is completely unnesecary. Because if people didn't knew how to use a mouse, they wouldn't had been able to access this thread...

Also, people may take this the wrong way, and think you're being condescending. (Especially since you seem to have posted links to tutorials about the basic operating of a computer...) Just saying.

You make a very good point. I'll remove that portion.

From this post on I would like for the subject to switch back to critique. Thank you.

Why is this thread still open?

I better get moving.

haha That LP was damn funny. Although I couldn't even hear your friend at all.

I better get moving.

I suppose this thread is the only way the game will make it onto the site. So it might as well stay up for a while so someone can list every single thing about the game and describe why it's bad.

I better get moving.

I've got to say, some of you are a little rude. Especially considering that I made those tutorials. This thread is still open because I am not even violating the rules at all.

Id like to call attention to the fact that this is in the help me section. That being said I would like the topic of conversation to be centered around constructive critique. Thank you :)

I don't get it. The link just leads to a sign-up page for web-based file-hosting.

Unless that's the point of this thread? To present an alternative to the locker-space that you get from RMN, or whatever else is out there that serves a similar purpose?

*Edit: It's the word "beta" in the thread-title. It strongly suggested to me a game, probably called Badlands (or whatever), that seeks beta-testers. However, that's not the case, as far as I can tell?

*Edit2: Let's not forget the [RMXP] tag!

So, wait, is this supposed to be a game?

Oh, wow, total misunderstanding of what my difficulties were. Seriously, I was just not being 100% observant of the page in question. In other words, I was totally not seeing the button labeled "Download This File". Though, one could argue that there is no indication of what file is being downloaded when you click that button, but, let's agree to skip over that part for now.

Though, while TehGuy might be being a bit facetious, the main reason to get a gamepage is that games (that aren't forum-based games) belong on gamepages. Unless you're building a forum-based game through RPG Maker XP (For example, you're using the engine to make maps to display for a strategy-game thread (have a reference)), I highly suggest getting a gamepage for this.

This may help in that case

Master of the Wind

Very cool concept.

I have added some tutorials for you, as you are experiencing some difficulties.

You can literally download the file on that page. Simply click the download button. Tehguy appears to have had no issue downloading.

EDIT: Because some users were having trouble figuring out how to download it. I have added a series of tutorials. They will roughly go over the basics of operating a computer. I am not an expert computer operator, so if you are still having trouble I would suggest consulting an expert: GCFLEARNFREE

How to Download Things Off The Internet on website, wikiupload (WARNING: TUTORIAL NOT COMPATIBLE WITH TOUCHPADS, AS ON LAPTOPS)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will need to click the link I posted. Do so by gripping the mouse controller and shifting it towards the "hyperlink". If you miss the link, try again and get the white triangular "cursor" over top of the "hyperlink". The picture or "image" below this text should illustrate this concept. (WARNING: Do not try to press things in the "image" "gif", it will not work.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you get it over top the link, press down on the left side of the"mouse" controller, also known as the "left mouse button". Be patient and wait as the page is loading. It may take a few seconds or minutes, based on your connection. You will know once the page has loaded once you see pictures that are unique to that particular website.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Their is a button that says download on that page. Its green so you should be able to see it. Move your mouse cursor (not the animal) by gripping your physical mouse controller (the one with the string on the back of it) and shifting your arm towards you, so it is on top of the download button. It may take you a bit of practice but I'm confident you'll get the hang of it.\

The concept is illustrated by the picture above

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once it is over top of the button click using the left mouse button.

A "download" will pop up.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you see the above download box, you can accept the download by click "OK" (Take your time as it will not go away.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Depending on your internet browser, (I AM USING MOZILLA FIREFOX 39.0) you can begin to access the "downloaded" file by pressing the blue download arrow (It is gray in the picture "gif" because I have already clicked on it).
This concept is illustrated in the picture "gif" below.
