I don't think I will even have them meet more like an admiration from afar, but using shihoko brings up a huge roadblock why fixate on him when shihoko has so many admirers and most of them are closer to her then the player? What about Tsubasa? She seems like she might attract the attention of a yandere

@dozen no what I meant by overdone is that the yandere is mean and violent to the player or main character because he is getting too close to someone she has a crush on usually female sometimes male. I can name a few anime off the top of my head where the main character gets bludgeoned, stabbed, or a (flying dragon) kick to the back of the head because he encroached on a yandere’s crush.

Yandere
Contrary to the popular belief that it is the opposite of tsundere, it describes an anime character who is either psychotic or violent or both.
Since I created genji (from maeda's story) as a psycho, I want to make her violent, but not really psychotic. So I've been trying to think of a reason for her to pound on him. So far the only reason I can think of is her having a crush on one of the main characters but that is really overdone. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am having trouble coming up for a reason for my yandere to hate the player at first I thought I would go with the cliché of her having a crush on one of the main characters but then I thought which one but then I decided that might be a little to cliché so what im asking is any suggestions?

ok but what if you are chasing masako and acciedently get a mind boost from say maeda putting you off of her story
