I keep meaning to look at Xenoblade, but that whole series is really dense and I don't have the time lately to sink into Xenosaga and so on. seeing where the guy intends to go with it from here (see: another long series stuffed with religious allegory) is exciting, but on the other hand I'm pretty sure I'll have to just experience it through videos or something

there's an interesting breakdown I read once about CaH's niche and primary function -- essentially the same purpose as 'groaner' jokes, where it takes the burden of being funny off the teller by unifying the teller and the listeners against the joke itself. by making it a thing of premade cards, it frees the person telling the joke from responsibility, and softens a terrible punchline into something silly and unpredictable. it's kind of a cool subject!

aside from that I'm not really interested in playing it, though. most of its substance seems like incredibly generic edgy-white-guy humour.
