it's a shame, but it's also something I deal with a lot and it's exhausting to try to untangle the issue sometimes. I understand you're speaking earnestly and it's just a matter of different perspectives, but I really need to be in a decent mood to talk about it in any even vaguely-productive sense -- my 'ugh' threshold is unfairly low, otherwise. it's something I'm trying to work on, but today isn't a great day for it in any sense. sorry.

the idea that DOAX3 was under attack by critics for sexist content is something entirely invented by opportunistic marketers. the devs themselves only expressed concern that it might come under criticism if released to the West, and it's widely suspected that this is just a way of distracting from the actual reason: the series' historically poor sales in Western markets. prior to this decision, DOAX3 was not on literally anyone's radar -- the strongest feeling that feminist critics typically have toward the series is resignation and boredom.
people will believe absolutely anything is the fault of ~SJWs~ if they want to. the word has effectively become a dogwhistle term for assholes to use, and a lazily condensed version of the 'these people care too much about something that doesn't affect me' fallacy. I'm kind of surprised at what I'm seeing from some people in the last few posts -- you should know better, after seeing months of the same spiteful bullshit from the same two or three people.
... and, well, less surprised at a couple others.
