Extend the deadline please. It impossible for an 2 people team to work on a month. Even for developers with a large story to deal with. Even i have to cut some unnecessary scene and move to the episode 2 just to make it to the deadline.

Our game will make the deadline, even if our gamepage is dead.
So what actually happened? You linked to a blog post that didn't exist. Did your gamepage just get accidentally deleted? Why can't you make another one?

The content of the blog post was so subversive the admins forcibly removed it. They're worried it'll come back if we make another.

EDIT: On the plus side, I'm legally allowed to tell you that it improved RMN security by 90%!
@jomar: ...I made a complete game in 24 hours. Something short over a month is more than enough time. Hell, a week is enough to get something neat out. Look at some of the weekend events we've had - we got some great pieces out of them.

Time is what you make of it, buddy~

I was able to make the game alone, even with my other projects and my school and having social life. If you're running out of time, cut the game shorter and just take out stuff instead. To extend the deadline now would be rude to people who have been able to work on the deadline and have made constraints and even maybe already finished their games. (There have been several games already posted and shared!) If you're not able to make the deadline, you won't make the deadline. To extend it so late into it, would be a slap in the faces of those who are able to abide to it, including me since if there would have been more time, I would have made my game in entirely different direction but it's way too late now. Deadline extensions in contests like these always have been the worst idea ever and only serve to poison and ruin the whole thing. Besides, it wouldn't even make any sense why the halloween contest would still be going on AFTER Halloween was already over...

Speaking of my game, check out the bitching title screen.

is that your own art, MBT? if so, you've really improved over the years. nice job!

jomar: lol i made wine & roses in three weeks for last year's halloween month-long event and it won 1st place popular vote/2nd place judge vote. like liberty said, time is what you make of it.

Well, to be fair, three weeks is almost a month. I still play Wine & Roses on occasion though. I have a feeling you're only about to up the ante this time round, though. I'm ready to get pwned.

Even though my art has immensly improved, I'd be lying if I'd say I've drawn that.

And the ability to summon the "Office Whores" to deal damage to the enemies.

Specking of deadlines. @thatbennyguy Hey I didn't received the Grammar corrected file what gives?
I thought you say you going to work on it this week?
Well I only be available online until Tuesday so this is really giving me a huge disadvantage in this competition.

I hope we don't get a whole bunch of dead developers whose submission to this event becomes their legacy ... And I agree with MBT, a deadline should be a deadline since all potential participants had fair previous notice when they signed up. Perhaps some people just got too ambitious and carried away with their ideas, so as he suggested, maybe it is time to downsize or pull all-nighters. Take your pick.
my bad jomarcenter, i'm also working on my own game. i'll do it right now. the translated files will be uploaded in 15-30mins.

edit: meanwhile my game is getting the prune treatment, chopping off anything that's unneeded. i have a feeling it's still going to be a bit of a mess, though, but it's a mess i'd play ;)

Forget the yesterday file. I already found a ton of bugs and mess and already fix it. Can you translate the new file that was being uploaded. Thanks.
And also for some of you interested. You may try the incomplete file today.
As it was being developed. Just pm me with your Google username to access the public file. I want to see if I really improved since the past.

Though it doesn't always work out- look at our current Map Madness.
True, but part of that is the loss of incentive brought on by people working on their own submissions instead of maps. Is okay, I've adapted it, but it won't make the deadline for this event. :/
One week left and people have already started to give up?

THIS!
I finished my entry:

http://rpgmaker.net/games/5659/

Also, hi, I'm new here. I've posted on rpgmakervx.net and, to a lesser extent, rpgmakerweb. I actually didn't even know about this place until someone from rpgmakerweb linked to the Halloween contest here, and it looks like this is kind of THE website to post on, so I figured I should enter and show off my chops since I'm a bit of a horror buff anyway. I have a completed full-length game called A Very Long Rope to the Top of the Sky that you can play now on the aforementioned websites, but I'm holding off on making a page for it on this site until the contest is over. Good luck to everyone!
People need to learn for these contests to make sizable, manageable games that can have multiple points one can cut off development. I have only worked on my game for four days so far in the month and I'm certain I'm meeting the deadline.

Don't give up, we still have over a week, and you'd be surprised what you can manage in only a few days.
My game is only one room, but I tried new things, so it will take longer than I thought.

If I work on just the mechanics, the gameplay will be finished, but having in the animations and other little things will make it take longer. Another month will do it.
