I don't want to stir up the religious debate again, but...
Atheism is based on the belief there is no god. As there is as much scientific backing to that hypothesis as there is to the existance of a god (none), why would it be better then being agnostic?

No, but video games are. I mean, who of us hasn't diligently studied the ins and outs of the games we've invested hundreds of hours into and would skip meals and other essential parts of life just to worship? We've dreamed of coming face to face with the characters of those worlds, if we haven't dreamed of being in those worlds straight up. Need I mention the ritualistic blowing we did into consoles and cartridges that gathered dust?

Hell, we show more devotion to our love of games than most people do to God.
