Damn where's my collection of "that's my fetish" gifs when you need it..

I'm in a hotel right now where I've been for four nights.

The first night, my room was out of range of the wifi router - I could detect the signal, but trying to connect to it timed out unless I carried my laptop halfway down the hallway. I started watching a speedrun video by using my cell phone as a wifi hotspot, but my "unlimited data plan" only includes 2 GB per month of wifi hotspot usage, which got used up in a little over an hour and a half.

The second night, they moved me to a different room, closer to the router. This room had two beds, but they upgraded me from the single-bed room free of charge. However, apparently the double-bed rooms don't have any chairs. The front desk was not able to get me a chair until the following day. I tried to lie in bed and surf the web, but gave up after about ten minutes and played Bravely Default instead.

The third night, I finally had both a chair and internet - only to discover that their internet hangs for 2-3 minutes at a time, every twenty minutes or so. This discovery did not my my raiding guild happy. I considered offering them free IT support, but I'm pretty sure they need a new router and possibly aksi a new ISP.

The fourth night, the front desk informed me that the internet has been "intermittently acting up" for parts of the day. This apparently is innkeeper-speak for "there is no internet whatsoever, we probably didn't pay the bill." I am currently posting this from my cell phone.

On the plus side, it's only twenty bucks a night.

I'm thinking about the storm here. People up north say it's really severe. And that it's very cold there.
Well down here, it's scorching hot! I can't even stand a second away from the fan.

Oh, food, yeah. I want some chicken curry right now. God, I love that stuff.

jeezus. what kind of flea bag hotel are you staying at that its only $20 a night? is there running water? blankets on the bed? carpet?

There are blankets with giant holes in them, presumably from moths and/or cigarette burns. The moth theory is given extra credibility by all the insects that were in both rooms - two flies and a moth in one room, and a gigantic 3-foot-long dragonfly in the other that I was actually scared to kill because I wasn't sure I could beat it in a fight.

There is more running water than I would prefer, in that it is dripping continuously from the ceiling above my shower. Good place for a leak to be though I guess.

In the room I was in the first night, the light above the sink didn't work, the toilet didn't flush properly, and the room reeked of some ghastly perfume they were probably using to cover up the smell of cigarette smoke. Also, someone tried to break into my room around 2 AM the second night. When you rent a room you have to sign an agreement that you will not be refunded for any reason, which probably should have been a red flag.

Can't beat the price though, and all the bugs are dead now, so I renewed for a fifth night.

really like to know why the hell are you staying in this fleabag motel?

Business trip, your home burned down, you just can't pass up a cheap price on
anything??

Hold on Tunger, no one ever said his hotel even had a star.
Don't forget, games on RMN can have a 1/2 star or even none.
Maybe the board of health just is too busy to close his humble bumble abode :)

dont you have a pal with a couch to crash on? with a blanket or large towel at least? or sleep under your desk at work?
