I just dodged a bullet- a scammer called claiming to be from Microsoft and asking me to install Ammy Admin; luckily Ammy's site itself warned of the scam attempts, so I hung up. *mildly annoyed at self* I'm usually on my guard.... what gives? The aftermath of my apicoectomy must be bothering me more than I thought.
Just recently I've heard two cases just like that. One person nearly fell for it as well. I think scam artist are just getting better techniques nowadays.
I once got a call from Visamastercard telling me for my loyalty my balance would be halved for my card. So I was like "which card? visa or mastercard?" "whichever" the man with a very heavy accent tells me. "Well, I have both." "Yep, tell me the number" "Well, if you are calling me, you should be able to tell me which card won" "Sir I can't do that. Please give me your number so I can confirm the prize"

If people just:
1. Rinsed their own dishes and put them in the washer
2. Communicated when shit needed to be done (hello dryer full of towels when there's no towels to be had)

I work in tech support and hear this quite often. It's more like they are contacting so many people that they inevitably find some uninformed people who fall for it.

Man, the prices on classic games just keeps going up! At least 2/3 of the games I've been looking at since about a year ago have all jumped up by 20~40 dollars. I'm really regretting not getting some of these back when they were 15~30 bucks...
Oh well, yanno what they say:

Im thinking about how Yesterday I introduced my Roomate to yu gi oh pro and I think I broke him. He played against the ai for like 12 hours straight. I'm not sure if I should be happy he likes it so much or horrified at what I've done.

Is he manic/obsessive? My mother was the same way when I introduced her to Feral Solidarity.
Speaking of which, my mother's gone to the hospital because she's feeling dangerously suicidal. She's been like this for the past few weeks now, trying to muscle through it alone, but it's become too much.

My Roomate isn't manic but he might be a little obsessive. I don't think it's connected to mental illness issues though.

On my local Ebay, You can get Saturn games cheap. However there are no consoles available (and only fighters available right now are various Virtua Fighters). So I bough myself a Gamecube. My problem is I can't get any games for it around here.
