WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?
Posts
author=FlyingJesterI want to say that is only applicable for a certain kind of people. My usage of facebook has never brought me grief of any kind, only funtimes and the occasional facepalm.
Deactivating your facebook account is probably a good choice for almost anyone, really.
author=Ratty524You know with how judgemental and critical people are on here one can't help but feel my game makng boner slowly wilting. Sometimes it's like nothing but perfection or an avobe average level of brilliantness is allowed.
RM game libraries were always at a massive scale, it's just that only a quarter of them are worth playing or memorable. :P
Facebook can be good for social stuff, but it's easy to overuse it and spend more time on facebooking than the actual activities that come from it.
I use it as a free way to message my sister. She always checks her Facebook so it's just as reliable as sending a text or calling her, and I don't need a phone to do so~
author=nhubiauthor=Yellow MagicI deleted my real facebook account and set one up under an alias. All the benefits, none of the downsides.
I just use Facebook to stalk people not gonna lie
But how do you stalk your friends if you haven't added them as friends? (unless you DO add them as friends, and they don't question who you are)
The latter. Most people accept friend requests on facebook without batting an eye. Especially if you have shared friends, or are part of the same facebook groups.
...and yet here we are, always crying about how Facebook is destroying our privacy...
At least Facebook never secretly downloaded executables that listen in using your microphone and send what it hears back to its servers without ever notifying you.
Google did that with both Chrome and Chromium, on Windows, OS X, and even Linux. That really happened.

Not if you don't own an android or iphone, and if you turn off all the 'we know where you are' options.
You do have a point though, privacy as it used to be is a thing of the past, so if you want any you have to take steps to ensure it rather than just assume you'll be granted it.

I AGREE
I miss the Shmup guys. The were an annoyance sometimes, but they were a positive force in the community as well. Now that they're gone, this place has grown too comfortable on its 'amateurish' ways... "Sigh" Good night, sweet, sweet princes (And princesses, I guess).
Edit: Ultracynicism is good for everyone (In small doses). (Wait, would that be regular cynicism? =P)
