WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

I've tried a lot of thing to get myself motivated, nothing's really worked. I can't seem to work on my college artwork.
I don't even want to waste my time with my games, or youtube videos, or any other time-eating bullshit. I can't bring myself to do anything. Like, what the fuck!? "Oh, I'm bored of my games, bored of youtube, bored of anime, bored out of my mind but I still have energy to use, why not work on my college stuff?"
Nope, just an ugh! "Nah, I'll do it later" There is no later! It's due tomorrow!
"I'll skip tomorrow's class then, ask someone what was in it to tell me what I missed, and use the rest of the week to catch up instead of playing video games!" Bullshit, you said that last week and you didn't do exactly that! "Well I'll force myself this time!" I can't! I can't control myself! I can't even get out of bed when I want to!
Maybe I shouldn't be an artist; I mean I don't draw for fun at all, I can't get excited about my current projects, though I used to, and I can't muster the energy to come up with a personal project to do.
Hmph.
I feel you tbh :\ What i do to fix it is, i force myself to watch an anime or play a game and by the time 30-ish minutes have passed i feel way better. You may FEEL demotivated from doing it, but once you try it, there's a good chance you'll want to continue :P I hope this might help, even if just a little.

Showcasing hilarious bugs during the credits sequence of a game is such a wonderful idea. More games need to do this.
author=LockeZThat tech is really not stoner friendly. If i survive enough time to experience VR myself i'd have to play that stuff sitting down.
The future of gaming: if you die in the game you die in real life and sue Microsoft
Re: Motivation - I'm a big fan of the five-minute rule. Just get yourself to do something for five minutes...there's a good chance that you'll forget about that arbitrary limit while doing that thing, and will just continue.

So far so good.

I prefer locking and spamming with cute animals, personally.
I don't really know if that discourages rowdy threads...
Sure it does! They stop arguing with each other over whatever stupid drama is currently going on to complain about how the thread they were raging in got locked instead. It's a win! :DDD

Thing is, what some people see as 'little to no reason' isn't really 'little to no reason'. There's always a reason. I mean, it's pretty standard procedure for Mods to lock shit if it seems like it's getting too heated. It's so that people can, you know, chill for a little while. Not like they're perma-locked or deleted or anything, but the way some people go on about it you'd think we were taking away their favourite toy forever. >.<
If a thread gets locked because things got a bit grr-y, chill for a while and don't act like it's the end of the world or Hitler incarnate came to kill your fun. It's usually for a day at the most. I'm sure you can all deal without posting in certain threads for at least long enough to let the anger and tempers die down a bit. :/

I'm mostly being facetious, but you guys are far too reliant on shutting down threads and not reliant enough on warning/banning the people who consistently cause threads to end up that way.
We're working on that, actually. ;p
I don't know, I feel like it's always been a problem within the different RPGmaker communities. There's always been kind of a underlying current of hostility towards people that think a different way, or present an opinion that doesn't agree with what they said. Or the absolute belief in their own beliefs to the point of hostility.
That's kind of always been the lay of the land, fam. In the threads I've looked around in, this still stands true.

Nah, it's super duper friendly mostly, of course SOMETIMES things go wrong but it's not anyone's fault. :D
It usually starts with someone saying something that someone considers distasteful, then another person responding with veiled-but-not-too-veiled insults, and then the insults become more and more outright, spiraling out of control alongside people doubling down on their distasteful comments until there is basically no chance of peaceful resolution.
I don't think you have respond to everything kindly, but typically responding angrily only winds up the spiral. So just, like... consider that, haha. Insults & counterinsults don't help as much as you might believe :P
Anyway, what I really came in here to talk about was to post about how great bagel day is. I have a bagel w/ strawberry cream cheese and it is delicious.

It's as good a time as any to remind everyone about the first line of the first section of the Code of Conduct:
Heated discussion is fine so long as it remains a discussion. Insults, backhanded remarks, and other attacks on a person's character eliminates the discussion. Don't do that.
... Somehow, a roach found its way into my coffee. Today is gonna suck.
If you disagree with users, aim your rebuttals and comments at their ideas and points, and not the people themselves.

eeeeeeeck, I'm sorry! I've noticed a growing number of spiders in my apartment. I might need to do a full cleanse soon...
