If the media could stop pretending that only "angry white men" voted for Trump, then that would be great.
Angry white men are the go-to people to blame when something doesn't go the medias way. When was the last time the media blamed any group for anything but white men?

Glad I'm not alone on this!
I'm thinking about this post, and how I should probably have more confidence in myself.

You're definitely a good reviewer, buddy!
Bad News: we had a 80 minute-ish ceremony today and we had to stand up for the entirity of it
Good News: my crush was like 3 people away and he was lookin good
Bad News: i ended up having to stand next to this annoying guy
Good News: i got closer to my crush by using him as an excuse to get away
Bad News: but couldn't get away from him and he bothered me the entire time and during break time afterwards too

I feel sad that white men cause issues. They make it worse for the rest of us, who are automatically lumped in with all the trash just for being white.
Why can't everyone just be decent, and we can forget the bigotry, racism and bad shit together?
Fucking humans. I'm so tired of it all.

I had no internet access during the last two days. Perfect timing. Every minute felt like a day, and I couldn't even go watch some Let's Plays or something to keep myself occupied.
Screw apathy and defeatism, though! The world would be much worse off if nobody even bothered to try and change things for the better any more, even if it's just on a seemingly small scale. If anything, now is the time to double the efforts to support and protect people who might face suffering, and any act of kindness and compassion will be even more important now.
Never give up!

You gotta take a risk somewhere, why not have it be the first impression? That's never important!
How to become friends 101
Number 1: Repeated contact: easiest places for repeated contact - school, work, lines at the cafeteria, your friend's, church
Number 2: Find common ground: The easiest way to do this is humour. Find humour in the everyday, and share it. I met my SO in the line at the cafeteria, making fun of things. Or just ask a question. Make use of awkward silence and awkward situations to your own advantage.
*standing in line at cafeteria, mostly silent crowd. Two people near each other are alone*
"Hey, have you ever seen that one guy? Really big? I think he's like swedish or something - the one who like puts half the buffet on his plate?"
"Oh, yeah, I kinda remember seeing him"
"Okay, what is his name!? Do you know?"
"I don't really know."
"Anyway, so, I was in at lunch, and I swear to god he went up for more food so many times the Lunch Ladies were accusing him of sharing his food - But I saw him! He was a machine! Putting it all away!"
"Hahaha omg really?"
And there you go.

I only have one experience of making a friend of my own initiative.
It's when I was like, 6 or 7
*Bored in Chorus class*
Turn to the kid sitting next to me
"Hi, I'm John."
"Hi, I'm Andrew"
And so it was.

Hextona is right. Literally just today, like 40mins ago now at work I made friends with a new girl I'm attracted to by talking about work and making a joke. And that's all it takes, nothing to be afraid of!
I'm excited for what might be!
