LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The official answer is "you aren't, sorry, the site wasn't designed for touchscreen devices, we'll fix it some day (maybe)."

The good news is that most of the portal pages have links to all the pages that are in their respective drop-down menus. The bad news is that the Games portal doesn't, and the user bar at the very top is just awful.

I can usually tap on a drop-down menu in the half second of lag it takes the pages to open on 4G speeds.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Wait, how long have I had over 3k makerscore? I haven't done anything gamedev related since 3+3+3=9. Time to check out the stat topics.

Edit: Apparently since October. How did I never notice this?

Maybe I did and just forgot. I'm gonna go with that.

Playing Castlevania Symphony of the Night for the first time ever. My first Castlevania. I love it! Wish there wasn't RPG levels, but c'est le vie.
Really cool music. Progression of powering up actually makes you feel stronger, and the exploration rivals old Metroid games. Definitely looking forward to other Castlevanias after beating this mother. It is both anger inducing, and greatly relieving to play.

I'd recommend Castlevania 64 afterward. It's the only one I've beaten legit.
The DS and the GBA Castlevanias are quite good as well.

Having owned the N64 Castlevania before a bunch of people started thinking it was terrible after watching a video on the internet, I can say that while I really like the cinematic style, it's just not very much fun. The control is very slippery and the stages are not designed very well.

I'll probably never play the n64 one. I've never had n64.
Is the 64 castlevania 3D? I'm only interested in 2D games nowadays... Especially for things like this.

Edit; nm... Dear god, I am not touching C64 with a ten foot pole. Maybe I'll skim through a playthrough. Yuck.

There are three styles of Castlevania games. The original actiony style that started with the NES, the more RPG-like style that started with Castlevania of the Night, and the stupid 3D games that everyone hates and we don't talk about.

The DS and 3DS games follow the style of Symphony of the Night, letting the player become more powerful by gathering skills, equipment, and level ups. The NES, SNES and Genesis games don't have that stuff; instead you just whip your way through the levels and pick up temporary powerups. Symphony of the Night actually has a classic mode that plays like that once you beat the game.

Well, I just got to an upside down castle in SOTN and all my power growth is out the window! lol
Back to ground zero, power-wise.
Definitely like this, but it's gotta be fun to play action style too. I love platformer games above all else. I'm glad I brought this up here. I'm excited to try the others now.

The classic mode in symphony of the night sucks, axearmor mode is where it's at.
Thinking aboot how freakin cold it is outside and the blizzard and how we lost power for over 8 hours at night...We got almost 2 feet of snow (its packed down and frozen now) in a day lol. >.> Will post pics in a min.

We don't have a lot of snow either. It's snowed twice, but it never ended up with enough snow for even one snowball.

On the other hand, it snows a lot on the mountains at the greek side of the counrty, and I've been there once, and I'm heading there again in around a week.

Snow is nice, it's just not fun when you get covered in it and then it starts to melt and all your clothes are wet.
Snow is great until it suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks

Today is a day where it sucks, long drive to work and it's gonna be longer getting home :x

I would have more makerscore If I did things.

What's the key defining factor between gender and personality? I've recently been exposed to a laundry list of the 96 different "genders" and I feel like somewhere along the line, something has gone horribly wrong.

I'm a pretty open individual who allows himself to feel whatever it is he feels, but I don't define it as something gender specific. I've confused gender-focused personality tests but I don't associate with being a woman. Just because I'm soft spoken and like to spend time doing stuff that's not overly masculine doesn't make me a lady. I know what I like to do, how I like to act and dress and that suits me just fine. I think everyone should do the same to show their personality.

Long hair can look good on a guy - a dress/robe probably could, too - but I wouldn't say they're trying to be women because of their physical appearance. Maybe you like flowery stuff (flowers are very pretty), but that's you. If you want to be different, that's fine; if you've always been different, that's even better.

I'm friends with a young woman who enjoys burping, but she attributes it to her childlike personality instead of something to do with gender.

I don't put much weight into my gender over my biological sex (others obviously do), but I still in my heart of hearts identify as a man, just one with a gentle heart. If you're transgender (biologically one way but mentally another), that's fine, but 96 "genders" based on who you're surrounded by* (Absorgender) or how commanding you are (Aethergender) seems a bit excessive.

*It's been scientifically proven that people speak and behave certain ways based on who they're surrounded by and the general comfort level of the room. You wouldn't be loud and vulgar around children or your grandparents as you would a close friend who's also prone to loud and vulgar outbursts. This phenomenon is independent of gender.

96 genders?!
It's counting all kinds of kemonomimis, elfs and all diversity of Tamirel?

On the less-silly side tho...

...wasn't this stuff supposed to be individual personality instead of gender?
Frankly, I'm fine with male/female, trans male/female, nonbinary and a handful of others, but I'm not gonna be an ass to you if you subscribe to something beyond that. That's my take on it at least.

Same with sexuality (people tend to get these two messed up a lot). Straight, pan, bi, gay, whatever. Who am I to judge that shit?

Wait, people are actually trying to distinguish and categorize 96 different genders?

That, to me, feels like it goes completely against the whole point, which is that people can identify as different things, and that what they identify as ISN'T a narrowly defined thing. Which is also how people can identify as neither a men nor a woman, or how people can identify moreso as a man on some days, but moreso as a woman on others.

Though that being said, I am a male who identifies as a man, so I have pretty limited knowledge of the whole subject besides talking to people. So I might just be completely off-base as well.
