WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Original NES is the way to go. There is really nothing like the real thing, if you want a real experience.
Playing on emulator is like a studio album, you get the gist of it, but it's clinical and idealized. Playing on console is like being at a live show. You are a part of the experience, and if you are into the content or enjoying the social aspect, it's the best thing.

author=turkeyDawgWhat i vaguely remember had something to do with the balancing of some bosses and some of the jobs you can play as.
Last I heard anything about PSX FFV, the complaints were about the load times and the script/translation being bland and not as good as the later GBA translation.
Dammit and it was interesting stuff too, i should have paid more attention.
And your mileage may vary on the whole emulator vs original stuff. I agree that for some stuff there is nothing like the original, like the n64 whose beautiful soundchip will never be succesfully emulated, or the ps2 which even on the best machine possible you cant emulate games 100% loyally, or the gamecube whose emulator has an unfortunate fps problem (dont know how good it is emulating wii games), or the ds emulator in which the experience is nothing like using an actual stylus on a touch screen, but i also think that for some consoles emulation is virtually the same (for most games at least) like the nes, snes, gb, gba or psone. Even moreso if you've got an usb controller that mimics the original controllers, in case you want to recreate the uncomfortable ouchiness of the nes rectangle controller or the comfy wankers cramp inducing roundness of the snes. Only snobs really find the really subtle differences in 16-bit era emulation a dealbreaker.
I haven't found an usb mimic of the gamecube controller in my country and i suffer. It is possibly the most comfy controller i've had the pleasure to hold.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The PSX versions of all of the FF games are identical, gameplay-wise, to the NES and SNES versions. The only differences, other than slightly updated graphics and retranslated scripts, are the addition of system files that track your completionism across multiple replays. They didn't even fix major bugs like FF1 having spells that do literally nothing.
There were definitely tons of balance problems with the bosses and jobs in FF5 PSX, but they weren't new; they were all present in the Super Famicom version. None of them were fixed in later versions either! Discovering a hundred different ways to become ridiculously overpowered is the entire charm of FF5, and even Square Enix knows better than to mess with that.
The Game Boy Advance version of FF5 is the definitive one. They retranslated it, so the enemies on North Mountain are named Cockatrice and Wyvern instead of Cockataur and Y Burn. They also fixed a few bugs, and actually improved the graphics instead of turning them into a mess. Specifically, they didn't touch character or enemy sprites, only battlebacks, animations, and menus.

GBA:

Mirak: I'll gladly buy a Gamecube controller USB adapter from Amazon and mail it to you, if you pay me for the cost of the item and the extra shipping to wherever you live. Even though Gamecube controllers are terrible. Seriously, those shoulder buttons. Message me or something and tell me what kind you want.

So, I wanted to buy Final Fantasy Anthologies on the PS 1, but I got interested two years after they stopped making it (it had apparently been a limited edition). No Greatest Hits or anything. So that was that. I'm never getting a copy unless I can find one used one day. I go to Grandpa Pigeon's, a store that used to be in St. Louis, and there was a new copy of Final Fantasy Anthologies, now about three years after it's been out of print. Grandpa retired and he was closing, and getting the merchandise from the warehouse onto the shelves, they found a lost crate of them buried. This was the last copy they had. I was there to buy Final Fantasy VIII. I asked my mom to buy Anthologies instead.
I still have it.
I still have it.
I've also got Anthologies hanging around somewhere. Also got Origins somewhere (FF1 and 2 remade for PSX).

Saw this on Furaffinity.

"And a whole lot of dragons"
Good on ya, Deltree.
Also, I'm still plugging away at Gavaroc's Hero's Realm LP and I have to say that Tritonis is still surprisingly well made. Hasn't aged a day. I also can't see why the ghost who knows he's a ghost in the Teddy Ruxpin house is so upset about it. I mean, it doesn't seem so bad assuming he likes the people he's with.
Any place is fine if you're with people you like, while the same place could be hell if you're with people you don't.

If anyone here is in Russia and knows stuff about old Dendy and Subor consoles, let me know, I want to get a Subor D25 if they're still around.

Learning how to draw my own characters so my RPG maker games looks unique.
Not saying games that don't use custom art assets are bad, but I want to make a style.
The image isn't mine, nor the style i'm going for, but I'm a horrible artist and I'm progressing to "eh, it's better" territory. Hopefully I can translate some of these skills to pixel art.
This feels like too long of a post for this lol
The image isn't mine, nor the style i'm going forI wonder why you posted it at all then.
I downloaded ffv gba version. With infinote money cheat on of course. Let's do this.

Because I was thinking about it. Duh.
It's better to be an alcoholic then tackle something frustrating
They're not mutually exclusive

You don't have the satisfaction of learning while you're drunk. You've gotta wait until you're sober again for that.
"That is his piss" comes to mind.

Maybe I should have added an 'and' in there to make more sense
